Arthur just promoted the head of ISG CoC to run Server product despite 0 experience in the space and a track record of the ISG CoC being universally hated by product group.
If you guys want a sign of the times, it's the senior leaders being shuffled around despite pure incompetence. Unless they're women, then they're fired.

100K ??? I think it's going to be closer to 90K. 90M in Revenues, 1M / employee.

@lal+1sY9iydf : Since before covid Companies have been monitoring your keystrokes, time spent on webpages etc on company laptops. Such a clown if you think you are going to manually download some app. If mgrs want they can use any data to make a case against you.
If you dont believe what I say, understand the process of encrypting your data on laptop. Understand which data and who installs that in your laptop.
Clue : it is not you. They say encryption is to safeguard when laptop is stolen.
Customers must be looking forward to this...they're already angry.

Bain is a management consulting firm that is hired by companies to sc--w up things.
Other similar consulting firms include McKenzie (think I spelled that wrong).
Frankly, dell does not need more than 20-25K employees. The rest can be replaced with automata. If I were MD I would have started planning it already.
We are now being watched even more closely by AI.
Facts are most of us will not be here much longer.
If managment havent asked you to download it on your work machine they will soon.

Not sure where the information is that Bain is no longer in the picture came from.
I was in a meeting with a group of them on Friday and can assure everyone they are still in the picture and influencing decisions across he company.
As for the 100k number, that is a number that came about when Bain was looking at Dells revenue and dividing it by the required profit margin got them to a number to target. I was in those meetings, so while it may not be an official target it was a number that was presented about 2 years ago as a long term goal.
Bain is no longer in the picture. It is being handled by Dell. Also, i've never seen any official document about the 100K. Rumors being perpetuated across the internet turn into facts. Like other companies, AI is being developed internally to get rid of people. I would guess Dell is no different.
When have they ever announced layoffs? It is true, Bain advisors have said “get under 100k” and as our “Leadership” rarely thinks for themselves and follow any other company they see as successful, it’s coming down in August. Just like the last few years August spells the end for many.
