It was a very long time ago... but about 13 years ago Qualcomm engineers were considered top of the line... now they are not even considered... just a bunch of people with outdated skills sets that are scared to death to leave bc no one else wants to hire them! Will be interesting to see how many old engineers will be able to find another job when the axe 🪓 falls!!

Most top performers start their town companies or go to start ups... Once VC funding is secured it’s better to go out on your own
Most of top notch talent you can see in FAANG companies, they most likely are from Q&I, look at fruit company , top technical decisions are controlled by old I&Q employees
@2mpt: True, the majority of people I encounter here don't seem very excited about work, at least in SD campus. The thing that confuses me is where do the top performers go? If you check the forums for other big tech companies you will read the same. Intel, Samsung and FB forums for ex. folks say top performers are leaving or have left already years ago. Really, where do those top performers go while maintaining good quality of life, high salaries and exciting work?
I wouldn’t say people are happy... they are either scared to leave or too old to find another job... most top performers leave at the 2 year mark...
Yawn...move on dude. Didn't you notice this forum has been quiet for almost a year? That means people are generally happy where they are and stopped complaining a while ago.
