Very odd it’s not in May, think they’re cooking the books with the layoffs to make the numbers look good? New CEO announcement? New RTO policy?

@2kc I hope soon she’s the reason why cas has never managed to gain leadership in ep she’s a piece of work her filthy arrogance and politics coupled with incompetence have brought the whole business down
@1w6 when is that d-mb bi--h Rebecca sidedisaster going to get fired
Cas and some of the cardiac divisions are definitely cooking the books. Have first hand information on this wondering if we should jointly inform regulators
Years ago I was a CIO award recipient. After I was laid off I decided to store my trophy in the toilet water tank to help displace water and save a little each flush. It's still a functional award!
To keep the watch out of enemy hands in a Vietnamese prison camp, Butch's father and Koons hid it in their re---ms for years.
Who really cares about the Town Hall. It will probably feature the CTO Project 6 journey and other baloney.
Ha! Founders Cup. So cringe
The Bowery Boys meet the Keystone Cops, all to the Benny Hill Show theme. Oh, let’s not forget the Founders Cup. Dear lord, we cannot forget that.
Exactly. I don't know why people think Elliot will save the company. Their main focus is to squeeze as much profit as possible. Then they will break up Medtronic and sell it for parts. That's PEs' business plan for every company they invest in.
Shareholder value > patients
@at GM will go no where unless forced too. Why would he and his pals give up that rent seeking cream? Elliot is the only one I see forcing this issue and sad to say whatever stooge they put in place will not be to the average employees benefit. Be careful what you wish for, it can get worse!
the Flywheel of innovation rolls on ! Right over all of us!
I know what it is going to sound like - something to do with "headwinds" again.
@ab sure hope this is true! GM (and his GE cronies on the board) has destroyed the culture that made MDT great and a place people built careers they could be proud of.
MDT was profitable and didn’t require quarterly RIF’s in order to hit the numbers. MDT had a stable, reliable stock ideal for income investors and retirees for nearly 50 years. Ridiculous to expect to be a dividend king and a high growth stock.
Ridiculous to expect to get results out of employees constantly worried about job security, how many different managers they may report to in a given year or how many times the strategy and objectives would change. It’s impossible to hit a constantly moving target.
I have RIF & re-org fatigue. I’d welcome a severance package after 25 years except I would have to exercise all of my remaining stock options that are now significantly underwater thanks to Martha’s Medtronic. I’d dearly miss all of the amazing people I worked with across the globe and the Medtronic that Earl built.
@ad plumbing and electrical
Definitely using the layoffs to make year end numbers look favorable
@ab This would be wild. How do you envision the two companies would be split (ie: which therapies would be clumped together)? What would be the long term goal of this happens?
Geoff leaving by end of summer
New CEO announcement soon with the proposal to split the company into 2 pieces .. all they are doing right now by combining units points in that direction
They are working on their lies to convince us everything is great and try to convince us to work harder with way less resources.
