First let me say I did not work for BB&T or SunTrust. I started with Truist so I am not partial to one side vs another.
I was a Manager in the Mortgage division, so this is what I will speak too in my post.
The way upper management treated their employees in these layoffs in June and the one today, is an absolute disgrace and these execs should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. (Erica Holmes, Jeremy Williams, Tag Gallaher just to name a few) These people talk about transparency, in the organization and they could not be anymore dishonest (someone needs a dictionary as to what transparency means and looks like)
Here are just a few examples of their transparency.
—Both layoffs Managers were never allowed to be part of layoff decisions and we’re only told hours before it took place who they would loose in the centers.
- Managers laid off employees with 15+ yrs of service with tons of experience and needed job specific credentials, but these execs kept people with 1-2 yrs with the company, with minimal credentials all to meet the diversity agenda.
- Managers we’re brought in the office and trained on how to layoff the employees by a cold script which indicated to “never say you are sorry” and to spend only 15 minutes on the phone. How kind and compassionate is that? An hour later after the dirty task we’re done all day long by managers vs. HR or the execs that decided who was to be let go. These same Managers were also laid off without so much as an apology or explanation and then told they needed to stay to finish off the job and return until Tuesday the next week for clean up..
How is that for transparency, and honesty and class? Why would an employee ever have anything nice to say after this. What a trashy way to do business. Have your managers layoff people and then lay them off within an hour. What the heck does HR do?
All the while these top paid execs— say this is because rates are high, volume is down, and cuts are needed—yet none of them lost their jobs, and they kept outside contractors while letting their own go.
Here is a question if there is no business, tell me again why we need 10-15 mortgage executives to manage no loans?
This purple WOKE company is a joke! If you need proof for yourself look at the BBB, LinkedIn, this site, heck just google them. It’s not pretty.
Transparency and caring is not how I would describe Truist— in-spite of the commercials they pitch. If you really want a voice against this company boycott them. Don’t put your money in their banks, use their credit cards, or get a mortgage or equity line from them.
Show them America 🇺🇸 is and deserves better.
As for the unappreciated worker bees of this company— I AM Sorry!! Sorry for being part of the tragedies of today, sorry for the lie Truist sold you on the new equality raise you will never get in your severance package. (Someone had to pay for the $22 teller increase)
yep this is just a little of that shady transparency everyone being laid off will see soon enough.
Sorry for the adverse effects the self centeredness of the upper Execs, have caused you snd for the greed they all share. But most of all so so sorry you did not get the appreciation and respect you deserved today.
It was never ever OneTeam with Truist— and I am also sorry I was part of that lie.
Take back your power and ki-l it out there. You would have never made it to getting a pension, I am positive if that so don’t fret. Using your business, and money 💰 is the power you need to be heard.
