At least 40 Cybersecurity teammates (entire teams) were RIFed on Thursday. At least they weren't offered a job with Accenture.

Offshore will protect the assets.
I'm not in IT in any way, but that is the stupidest statement I've read in a long time. You're an id--t. The good news for you is that you'll thrive as long as this place survives. It requires id--ts like you. The rest of us will suffer the consequences.
If you think cybersecurity jobs are low value and need to go... you are literally the problem with this company and why a data breach happened. There's a reason that cybersec teams are typically paid the most amongst all IT peers.
These are low value jobs that need to go
Part of IAM was let go, there was still a few sectors left
Role creation? as in IAM? I thought that team was already RIF'd a year ago
How do people stay motivated with all the layoffs, cuts in benefits and lousy (if any) raises and bonuses?
Oh no, whatever will we do without all those Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations?
These teammates had no involvement with protecting data. It was not they jobs to protect the bank from leaks or cyber threats. These teams help with role creations and updates.
I'm curious what teams were impacted. There are definitely some cyber teams that were either ineffective or were resource heavy. There are other teams though where they don't have anywhere near enough resources for the workload.
There was a huge security breach, this was long overdue. Why would Accenture or anyone want to take these people when they failed at their job
