Does anyone actually get a job through redeployment?

Most of the people I am know that were redeployed were given positions that did not match their skill sets. The positions were open due to high turnover which tells the story. Most of the people redeployed quit or are termed for under-performing in jobs they were not suited for. IMO the re-deployments are a "work around" to avoid paying out severance.

@2jaa+1tCZmvZA - TA, you're aware that many "leaders" overseeing these positions aren't checking off qualifications themselves, right? And you're also in the know of the numerous positions that are handed out to people who are willing to smile and nod or a best friend of someone even higher up the food chain?

Want names?

And don’t even talk about the $4.2B profit they raked in for the 2nd quarter.

TA here- we WANT to be helpful for you! Please make sure you're checking all requirements (that's usually when you aren't hearing back especially on remote roles we're flooded so it's not always possible to reach out directly to you.) for positions you're applying for. And definitely look for the specific recruiter, reach out! This news is always devastating and no one is exempt. In general our teams consider it a huge win when we can get redeploy done.

They didn’t help me. I used my contacts to find a different job. Your best advocate is yourself. My redeployment call had over 200 people on it! Good thing I didn’t burn any bridges. I got hired in my old department. Lateral move.

From someone who was laid off in February, the redeployment team is as useless as a woodpecker with rubber lips. If you actually desire to stay at this miserable s#!tshow, I’d suggest finding an internal listing in which you qualify for the majority if not all of the job requirements and try to reach out directly to the recruiter attached to the listing. Even then may not guarantee an interview because they are undoubtedly swamped more than ever now but it did help me garner one with the MedExpress side with two dweebs who ended up turning me down (karma: I think they both got the axe this last go-around). I feel like anyone who stays with this company though is going to have to deal with this stuff all the time and it’s not worth your mental health. Find somewhere that actually has ethics and stability. Best of luck.

It worked for me a few years ago....but the layoffs that I was in wasn't as big as this one. I was glad for what they were able to help me find but I only stayed in that role for a year before moving on. It was bettet than being unemployed and bought me some time to find a different job. So I would at least give it a shot.

The only one I heard that was offered was using capital funds to pay salary…um, that was never gonna last! Just see if you can get on the LHH job search program - not sure if they offered it to everyone but was mildly helpful.

The redeployment team is not helpful. The only thing they do is email the recruiter for the job you posted for to tell them you applied and it usually takes them 4-5 days to respond. You can do that yourself.

I know one. But I honestly can’t imagine their position will last. Although I hope they ride it out and cash some checks. I think you need to make decisions based on what you see and not what they say. It’s like gambling, the house always wins.
