Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

240 laid off in OnShore wind

Nice work HR, publishing the list of impacted peoples names in a meeting invite.

If you wanted to embarrass people more, congratulations, you have done that effectively. Homewrecker (SS) will promote you very soon!

10/10 on the toxic meter, in line with homewrecker’s (SS) means and methods of succeeding in life.

Union brotherhood? Not in Schenectady, nothing but back stabbing, throat cutting, di-k sucking, as-----s working there now! Every hourly worker should get their union withdrawal card and show the boys in the hall they are useless nit wits! It doesn't matter if you are the most prolific worker on the floor, seniority is still KING! When the chips fall, only the old useless dinosaurs will remain. Nothing you can do about it!!!

: @5vip+1j9X8DxU This must be a scared T trying to justify and hope that they layoff the senior guys first. We’ll just because your so far up managements back sides won’t save you from the Indefinite layoff that is coming. This scared T must be afraid of going back to their old job it sounds like. This scared T is trying to justify keeping this T over a D who paved the way to this chaos. This scared T must be in denial that their Ego is about to be put in its place.

Agreed, nothing you can do about it, those are the cards you've been dealt. The bays aren't paved with gold like back in the day, their painted for a sale sometime in the future. Ride it out as long as you can. The union will tell you what you want to hear indefinitely, all lies, take steps now to ensure future comparable financial employment. Nothing you can do about it.

In building 273, steam guys probably have seniority, doesn't matter how lazy they are, low seniority will go out the door no matter how productive they are, in a union shop seniority is, and always will be KING 👑

Can't lay off the steam guys because HR can't find them. They know all the best hiding and sleeping spots in building 273. Nothing from steam ever gets shipped on time. And even with the late shipment to the customer, you can bet there will be warranty repairs needed. And these people talk about how proud they are, how they are the best, and the problems are caused by someone else. It's time to look in the mirror. If you're not fixing the problem, you are the problem.

Funny to read these remarks from the Union/anti-Union guys.

These job losses were all white collar. All RENEWABLES, not steam, not generator, not building 273....so go crawl back under your '98 F150 in the solar covered parking lot and go back to sleep

I wish they'd layoff 2000 D rates. Actual work would get done....Crazy right?? Sadly all our fat lazy brothers are going to sink the ship for all of us.

@2iyu+1j9X8DxU Keep drinking the kool-ade. If you knew how GE really worked, you’d understand that despite what you see, there are always shady things going on behind closed doors, that goes for the company and the union. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

2iyu+1j9X8DxU- smoke and mirrors and more smoke and mirrors. They wouldn’t have to hire if they didn’t layoff and offer buyouts to sever ties now would they. I also highly doubt you do this thing called work. Your an unskilled T and your over paid for your reflection of your lack of skills.

Must have missed the all hands today. Another 60 at least to be hired yet. Work out the but for bar shop and some for generator. Steam is basically dead, but 2024 and beyond they are preparing for a huge nuke turbine rebuild and service run. Spring services outages have more work than we can get done in Schenectady. So sadly, your hopes for a hourly layoff in Schenectady is being dashed by the pesky thing called work. Those that work harder at running their mouths vs doing their jobs, can never stir the pot enough.
