WT Dahl is chuckling in his grave...As Ron Pearson once said, "When the lights go out..." Well...the lights are going out! Wow...
Maybe we wouldn’t feel this way if the CEO could stop blaming the stores. Kind of hard to stay positive when even the top leadership is so negative. They have finally rubbed off on all employees and now you want us to be positive. How about Jeremy Gosch start being positive ? If the top presidents , V.P and ceo can’t stay positive how are we ? We are just following are leaders.
Rank- and- file here, 23 years. On a daily basis, we were faced with incompetent managers, shortage of workers, and no direction. You say doomsday predictions..I say reality because I'm living it. We are in trouble
This site used to be a good way to gauge what the rank-and-file are thinking and facing on a daily basis. But it's turned into a forum for a small handful of cranky blowhards who take every thread hostage and fill it with their looney doomsday predictions and personal attacks. Go peddle your negativity on Reddit.
Randy always thought he was the reason HyVee was making record profits in 2020, 2021 and part of 2022. He thought I have figured it out and we are set to be the next biggest grocery company in the nation. He talked all big about expanding south. Not once did he ever think it was Covid that gave them record profit. Now randy has spent all the profits on ideas that didn’t work. At this point the only hope of saving HyVee is another Covid event.
The covid plandemic picnic is over. Restaurants and all other full service food venues are back open 100%. People are going back out....to eat...and not at their grocery stores....fir a Whalbuger.
Grocery retailers made a ton of money in 2021, and most of 22. How they banked it is of particular concern, as all so called good things, do have an end.
Recognizing the continual short sightedness in hyvee upper management, I strongly suspect they pis*ed it away and are now faced with financial decisions that are going to hurt, and may even be debilitating. Time will tell.
One thing is for sure is not one person at HyVee can do math. We all know Randy can’t budget for sh-t. I’m guessing Jeremy will be the same. If hyvee lost 24 million a month for a year that would be around 288 millions. I’m sure Jeremy Gosch will find a way to lose at least 300 million this year. He hasn’t done anything to improve hyvee. Jeremy is a lame duck for HyVee. He has failed to act and now it’s really staring to show.
200 million ? How do you figure this for the quarter ?
24 million lost month 1
Month 2 ?
Month 3 ?
It wont add up to 200 million. No way. Another person at Hy-Vee with BAD MATH. #smh
Stores better start cutting labor hours. By Wednesday all store will be getting told to cut hours by 15%. Thats Jeremy way of getting back the ship back on track. Ask yourself can any store afford to cut 15 % on labor right now while it’s already tight.
We had a GREAT inventory here. Obsolete inventory in the health market needs work but otherwise very good month.
We can't get anyone to work at our store. Moral is horrible. The store is disgusting and filthy. We aren't making any money. Fareway, Jewel and Walmart are ki-ling us. Something has to change.
How about this,Maybe CARMA IS BITING THEM IN THE A-S THEY WAY THEY TREATED EMPLOYEES THE LAST FEW YEARS.GET THAT EMILY AND JAN.WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND.
Another bad inventory ! What is Jeremy Gosch going to do to fix the problem. Across all eight states all HyVees had bad performance this inventory. Can’t blame the stores when they are have the same results. We need new leadership soon before HyVee is gone. We need to get rid of sleepy Jeremy Gosch. 2/3 of the quarter is over and we are on track to lose almost 200 million for the quarter.
A lot of theft? That’s a weak explanation. So you are telling me last month was in the red because of theft. If I was Jeremy Gosch and a director was blaming bad inventory on theft I would fire that director on the spot. The real reason why is HyVee is overpriced, customer service is gone. Out of stock in the stores are terrible. The economy is slow and inflation is way up. Most people can’t afford to buy extra items at the store like they used too.
Will there be store closings on the horizon? More layoffs?
