@2ipg+1tUBt8rr I remember that, I was embarrassed to be associated with the company, ashamed for Dell leadership, such a classless thing to do. Dell was winning back then, no reason to be hurtful. Definitely bad karma, what goes around, comes around.

Makes me think back to my days at Compaq when you guys put billboards up around Houston that said something to the effect of " <-- 180 mi JOBS". These were placed on major highways that we used to get to the main Compaq campus during a massive layoff period.

Sooner or later, what goes around comes around. This post is not meant as an insult, just a fact of life at all the computer companies that I worked for and believed in for 35 years.

So much for John Byrne’s “P for people first”. They’re hypocrites who paid Chick Whitten $40M + to gut the company and rid it of all top talent. The a con artist and anyone that says otherwise is too

DEC and slow adoption of direct sales ki-led Compaq.
Compaq was venturing into noncomputer technology in the old Walmart building. DEC came in and ki-led it.
Compaq management wouldn't adopt direct sales, majority of sales were through channel. Management was afraid if they quickly transitioned to direct, channel would sit on on inventory and tank quarterly profits.

It shows Dell doesn’t really care about people. Dell has been and will continue to be run by greed. That’s why they’ll never get to a Google, Amazon, Apple or Microsoft. They stifle innovation for the bottom line. The goal is to always make money but it’s also to innovate. Dell hasn’t had an innovation for 25 years.

Soon there will be more people laid off from dell than people that actually work at dell. Good news to everyone laid off, you are in a big club of people who have also been laid off. You are not alone, reach out to your network of previous laid off people to see if yhey can help! Dell hates it's employees.

Stock to $6x after earnings. This is not a good sign. The AI comeback story no one believes.
