Thread regarding Alphabet Inc. (Google) layoffs

Where Were The June Layoffs?

As @OP+1nhV0oVb pointed out, the June layoffs that @OP+1mxaXTCf and @OP+1mGEGlpy promised didn't materialize.

For those keeping score, it is obvious that there are one or more trolls making bad-faith "predictions" that have no basis in reality. Just look back at the prediction that there would be April layoffs (@OP+1miJS1OD). Heck, even the layoff prediction at the end of 2022 wasn't made in good faith. The trolls got lucky that there were even any layoffs, but they had no basis to believe there would be when they made their "predictions" and in any case they were woefully off in terms of magnitude.

That isn't to say that Google isn't without issues right now, and there are signs that leadership is pushing for voluntary attrition. Still, the trolls had their day and it is time for them to go off to another board on this site.

@1kui+1npDdKPc is an ineffective troll:

  • Writing in complete sentences doesn't mean one is on track for NI (what?)
  • NI stopped being a thing at the start of the year.
