Do you truly believe the rumor is true that 70% of all former State Farm employees that now work for HCL will be gone the second or third week of March.

@2gtcd 4 weeks!
I can't wait to call my manager and give my immediate resignation.
Counting down the days to get out of there. Hoping a bunch of others leave at the same time.
See how AP will sell it then.
Looks like they waffled on what they told us about 3-5 days in the office. A large part of the re-badgers in another area already found out but we have not. That group will remote work indefinitely. The rest of us will probably will find out at tomorrow's meeting for the IaaS people.
Another supposed insider with more wrong info. 100% work from home!
Hope I never have to set foot in a state farm facility ever again.
They have decided. Announcements coming next week. 3 days a week in office. Starting in Summer
Here's another observation - This whole in-office thing. HCL's policy is if you're assigned to an account, you work they way the customer does. If they work remote, so do you. If they are in-office only, then so are you - Unless you're an SF re-badger...
In that case, regardless of your "disposition", you have to be in the office 3 days a week, maybe 5. They haven't decided yet...regardless of your commute. If you're a rebadged SF employee and you're assigned to another account whose policy is remote, guess what? You come into the office.
Now, in a company where the bottom line is everything, why does HCL feel spending millions of dollars on office space makes sense when they keep stressing that they need to make the account(s) profitable? Or...is it that they want to cover their kiesters and keep SF re-badgers redeployed to other accounts just a few feet away so that when things go south they can simply walk on over and get a bailout? Just thinking out loud:)
I cannot imagine 70% of rebadged leaving. Would be awesome, but too many think they still work for SF and are going to get something amazing for still bending over backwards to accommodate SF’s bs moves.
Mostly non tech people were left behind so they take ownership and provide no direction.
Also get ready for 3 days per week in office!
The rumors are true. I'm not sure if the actual number is commonly known by the analysts yet since the re-badged people didn't find out their "disposition" until earlier this week. The area I'm in is the 3rd level infrastructure engineering teams, of which there are 63 re-badgers. Only 20 or 21 are being retained. One of those is the Ops Manager. Many "redeployed" re-badgers will re-deploy themselves (leave) along with several of those "retained". It will be a nightmare for whoever's left because they will do the bulk of the work at 1/3 (or less) of the capacity.
We've already seen a huge up-tick in workload for the re-badged analysts with nearly all of them still in place. Remember, a year ago HCL didn't even know that 3rd level teams were part of the package. Now they insist a run-book is all you need on the other side of the world to continue the work of the engineers with decades of experience. I'm sure we'll hear all the success stories soon.
I'm also sure IEOM is cramping up from that load of bricks:) as they've already expressed serious "concern", to which HCL basically said after 3/1, it's year 2 and we make the staffing decisions from here on out. SF gets what they get even if it's not what they wanted. Welcome to managed services.
Yup US based company that HAD to buy bigger corp jets to fly the execs internationally. Good use of policy dollars.
The vast majority of State Farm's customer base is U.S. citizens (or at least residents) because they only do business in the U.S. now. But yeah, sure... let's take that money collected from the U.S. and ship it to workers in other countries.
Wow, a couple hundred left at SF? Ieom is gonna sh-t bricks. They are not prepared to lose that much talent/knowledge.
When you see the execs, tell them how much you appreciate what they have done. Heard one of them said it was the best thing that ever happened to SF.
There are not enough jobs for all 780 people who intend to stay. Looks like close to 150 will be cut and 400 or so will be redeployed.
Only a couple hundred of the rebadged will remain with SF
785 people said they weren't going to quit. Lol.
Guests on how many lied? I know of at least 1!
If 50% or more go to other accounts, cannot wait see the look on faces when all that work drops.
You hope SF execs will learn their lesson, but that would require them to have some accountability.
550 people. Announcements coming in the next 3 weeks on whether you're staying or entering the reallocation process
It's gonna be closer to 90/95% I'm guessing. And they have already said even if you stay on the contract for hear 2 they can "shift you off" at any point. So as soon as they can get rid of you (if you are a Western worker) they will.
Would you have believed a year ago that State Farm would have sold its employees to HCL?
Lol, can you imagine. Buckle up ieom.
