@14m I agree mostly but if you think they aren’t coming for union members you’re out of your mind . They will lay off thousands and offer buyouts and replace with 600 …. Saying they fulfilled their obligations. They’ve done it several times already

@344 lol just 2 cents but if calif was a moneymaker why did gte fail and why did verizon immediately sell former gte in Cali and Texas both . 😂

Talks are already happening. First is redundancy groups like corp comm and social media, next positions related to operations in customer service. If youre not looking for another job already, better start.

This isn’t entirely correct either. If California subtracted its gdp it derives from shipping imports bound for other states. The picture would look as pretty as they claim it to be. Still this has nothing to do with historical take rate California has had for Telco vs other states.

@54c

Exactly what does that have to do with take rate. Fact is Californias number far outshadow any other state. Has for over 40 years. Cal for Kia is the anchor regardless of its political leanings or irresponsible government leadership.

@344 that’s an inaccuracy putting it mildly! The state doesn’t have a pot to pi$$ in. It’s been fiscally in the red for years because it’s politically in the blue. It’s so overly regulated in every way. That’s why big companies have been leaving in droves. They are so restrictive a homeowner can’t even replace an electrical outlet without by code, hiring an electrician. I only wish the liberal locusts would stop leaving the state for greener pastures and then trying to promote the same progressiveness that sc--wed California up in another state.

@344 not even close, Texas always had the highest customer base and was making money. I know California has a fragile ego, legends in their own mind. All the rainbows and hair dye affecting your brain lol. California is the one holding up the sale now.

Wow you are completely clueless. California has been the money maker for GTE, Verizon and Frontier since we were GTE. Texas has always been a break even at best and Florida a loss leader. Just Iike regular social media there are people that talk when they have no knowledge of what they’re saying. Run along now sparky. Go back to playing your video games.

@14m lol California employees are worthless. I remember when they moved the NT work from Texas to California, they couldn't fix anything. We used to call them CaNT's because they literally could not fix anything. we had to rely on the few NT's still left in Texas and Florida to actually fix things. Highly UNskilled labor. Oh well if they are hiring in California service will only get worse. Texas was and always will be the Union employees that could actually do work and make the numbers happen

The fact is there will be no layoffs at Frontier when Verizon takes over except for management. Verizon can’t afford to lose any more skilled labor. Why do people think they are doing mass layoffs of middle management in their own organization. Verizon was top heavy with mid level management that didn’t do anything. They agreed to hire 600 more union employees in California alone. You know the people that do the work and make the numbers happen. The writings on the wall for Frontier middle management up to executive level. Executives too likely. We’ve seen all this before with Contel/GTE and GTE/Verizon. If you don’t see the writing on the wall it’s because you haven’t been here long enough. Or just have your head in the sand.
