First, the engineered screwing by my 2-up requiring my 1-up to give me an inconsistent meets, without EVER observing my work during the period.

Second, when I challenged it - citing my 1-up ‘s confession that she “had no choice” and “didn’t want to rate (me) inconsistently meets,” a target was on my back. Suddenly all spineless managers on the team had it out for me.

Third, I found a job outside of Wells. Janet, Mike and Todd can GF themselves.

It was neat towards the end of 2022 when there were rumors about correspondent and KF basically said not to worry, and then the department got cut a couple months later. I hope Santa pooped in her stocking.

Try finding out you got laid off by attending a meeting in the morning and seeing a .zz after your name.

On my first day of orientation the first thing I remember seeing is someone buying a scratch off lottery ticket at the CIC convenience store.

I am not the op -- just a layoff tech worker.
Wells is a "reactive" environment. They wait until they are in a crisis and then hire people to "fix" the crisis. Sure, these people if they fix the problem will get a bonus (the first year). Then most of the smart ones leave.
I found the bec's were well-paid note-takers. They couldn't document a system, nor design one, nor elicit the requirements -- even if you paid them (which Wells does very well). Result is that no product, no business service is defined. Architects are either missing in action or when they appear they whirl around since they are overwhelmed by multiple crisis's.
So management goes for the next silver bullet-- "agile", "going to the cloud", offshoring, hiring consultants, etc. Of course, not one of these methods will work at the "firm" because no one has proactively defined the product or the service of the "firm".
