Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Is this enforcable?

This is over the top. Do they also want a pound of flesh?

Hey Dell trolls. Thoughts about the new labor relations ruling of 2/21/23 that essentially states Dell's severance agreement is unenforceable? Looks like greed isn't good. ROFLMAO!!!

https://www.nlrb.gov/news-outreach/news-story/board-rules-that-employers-may-not-offer-severance-agreements-requiring

"Today’s decision, in contrast, explains that simply offering employees a severance agreement that requires them to broadly give up their rights under Section 7 of the Act violates Section 8(a)(1) of the Act. The Board observed that the employer’s offer is itself an attempt to deter employees from exercising their statutory rights, at a time when employees may feel they must give up their rights in order to get the benefits provided in the agreement."

The severance is not great but to say its horrible is nonsense. you are not entitled to one.

the company has deemed you redundant, why would they give you more? To keep you quiet? Lol. So naive. Go ahead, shake your stick.

the sooner those laid off move on the better. This dwelling on it will not even get you a can of beans.

Dell, a little advice. If you want to avoid litigation, offer a better severance package.

I'd be more pi---d about not getting my severance pay for 40 days as someone alluded to in another post. This letter probably explains it. They wait to see who is suing so they don't get their severance.

This is normal. You are being made redundant. Take the money and move on.

Feel sorry for your colleagues who now need to do twice as much

First off spelling it gawd shows how much of a tool you are. I am ashamed to work at a company that has employees who are shaming teammates who were laid off. You are trash.

2nd Dell have a horrible severance and also adds all this language to not sue them. I’m sure those laid off would be happy to sign if they atleast got a good package.
