Thread regarding VMware layoffs

When can we say Carbon Black was a failed acquisition?

No real innovation on the products. Constant turnover in leadership which hasn’t changed but now accelerated.

When do we finally start to call it like it is?

VMware didn't ruin CB, CB ruined CB. Dumpster fire and zero desire to actually integrate. Never seen a more mismanaged BU.

both Pivotal and CarbonBlack were on death's door when VMware paid $$$$$ for them.
Both were disastrous acquisition (admittedly, Pivotal 10x more so than CB)

VMware ruined Carbon Black. VMware / Broadcom were never, and will never be a successful cyber security company.

It was a deadweight before the acquisition. People got a nice payday though! The deadweight just continues.

I’ll call it, October 8, 2020. Carbon Black will go back to the zeros and ones from which it came.
