8uxr... exactly. Fake news!
So was there one?
@2drf - I completely agree with you. I believe that ADI will be sold at the time that they can sell assets without violating the terms of the spinoff and with all of the market news recently about Anixter and the premium that both PE and Wesco were willing to pay, the plan is already being put together. Once they officially put it on the market, it will take time for the process to play out and if the board decides that they want to sell it by year end that process is probably already started.
ADI is not being sold this week. Stop it. Maybe someday, but not soon.
Are you serious 6PwA?? This was one of the original stipulations prior to spinning out of HW. This is public knowledge. Not some "management secret".
"....We can't sell ADI until 2 full years after spin." If you know more than the rest of us, why don't you share the information?
Once again you are all probably wrong with your conjecture. We can't sell ADI until 2 full years after spin. That would put us 9 months away of even possibly selling, so why/how would they announce a sale next week??? Where are you all getting your information? Some of you speak from your rear-end at times and have no clue what you're saying.
When a Corp is dead... you sell the pieces for a profit.
the former CTO / CEO and chief innovation did so much damage it set us back 5 years at least. After close to 2 years We ran out of runway and we bought technology duds like buoy and engaged into dragonfly types of adventure that s—ed cash...
Yeah and we still need to pay the water closet a few millions.. and the prima Donas of Austin .
Recovery if even possible may be extremely difficult.
So Resideo will get a nice chunk of change that will keep them afloat for a year or two while ensuring all the executive bonuses can be paid.
Supposedly they are going to announce it is being sold (most of it anyway). This is the announcement people were talking about late last year on this site. They finalized sale late last year and announced now.
Nothing major...Major
You guys are late to the game. That announcement about ADI and Alarm.com was made on ADI’s LinkedIn page two days ago. This is already public knowledge and clearly NOT the announcement the OP is asking about.
Told ya so
ADI will be a full line distributor of Alarm.com technology, which competes directly with AlarmNet -(Resideo's home grown alarm transport network, Total Connect app experience and radio communicators)...thereby completing the missing link for the sale of the business.
