Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Recycled CEO / EMT

Does anyone give any thought to the conflicts of interest when you bring in a CEO and COO from a publicly traded competing company. Both members of our EMT have millions invested in our biggest competitors.
We couldn’t bring in fresh talent at the EMT level?

I’d be surprised if the board did anything. They let JB run the place into the ground and it was a new board member, Brad Singer, one of Elliot’s board members, who brought Moskowitz into Crown. Elliot would normally be the company doing the yelling and screaming about having a Philistine running the company. With Elliot sidelined because he’s there mistake, nothing is going to happen.

@3njw+1uQxOiPW Board would never. It’s evident they all got skeletons in their closets.

At least JB honestly claimed his BA from Baylor University, unlike SM who allegedly falsely claimed his BA from Temple University.

Heart surgery, what a ridiculous analogy

hopefully the Board of directors sees this brought to light and terminates SM without a golden chute or any severance

No one is jealous of you SM.

Imagine going in for a heart transplant and your surgeon lied about his MD from XYZ college to get his job as a surgeon.

You would want an actual surgeon who has a legitimate MD from a top tier medical school.

Who cares if he lied to get a job. Everyone’s jealous he gets paid way more than us. Good for him doing what he had to do to make a nice living and take care of his family.

Someone should def reach out to temple's registrar office and verify if SM graduated or not. Right now it seems our CEO is a degreeless b-m who lied about having a degree early in his career!

@3bjx+1uQxOiPW you missed the point @2dpx+1uQxOiPW brought up. SM claims to have a BA but never completed it which means he didn't graduate so he never obtained the degree.

Similar to the former CEO of Radio Shack, David Edmondson, who claimed to have a BS then resigned once it was brought to light he never completed his degree. Also similar to George Santos who claimed he had degrees from Baruch College and NYU. Baruch College and NYU then confirmed they don't have a record of Santos ever attending either school.

This has zero to do with student loans, it’s all about integrity. The question we should be asking is, does he have a degree from Temple or is he dishonest.

It’s really quite simple. It’s important that the guy doing the firing is has an unimpeachable work history.. Also, he the (Elliot) board member who brought him in was CFO at AMT so he should know the truth either way.

Yet they never whine about bailouts or PPP loans, but as soon as predatory student loans are brought up it’s “Do yOu WaNt mE to PAy FoR yOUr GrOCeRiEs tOo?”

“I’d wager a number of people whining about it are the same ones who are SUPER against any form of student loan forgiveness because they think college is useless”

The people who are against student loan forgiveness don’t think college is useless. They just think that people who take out loans should be responsible enough to pay them back themselves.

Student loan forgiveness, Really? You want me to buy your groceries as well?

@3bjx+1uQxOiPW I see what you're saying but we are focused on the integrity issue (not the degree itself) based on the fact that at a point in his career he lied about having a degree.

There are several executives at companies caught lying about their degrees who resigned after being caught and admitting that at one point they lied about their qualifications.

What am I missing here? I'm not impressed so far but the guy has decades of experience being an executive in telecom, who cares about what he did in school in the 80s?

Also, he has a BA from Temple so it's a moot point, but it's a completely ridiculous topic.

But the corporate bio for Crown doesn’t say anything about college

I mean it’s not like you couldn’t just ask Temple if you actually wanted to know

@2dpx+1uQxOiPW RIDICULOUS if the current CEO really lied about having a degree! Someone should contact his alleged alma mater to verify if he actually graduated. I know in the 80s they didn't have digital credentials but these days most schools offer digital copies of diplomas to their grads.

You can just type into google, "Moskowitz American Tower Temple." I just looked into it and his bio from American Tower says he worked at MCI Communications while completing his degree at Temple University in the 80s:

"From 1983 to 1985 Moskowitz worked with MCI Communications while completing his undergraduate degree from Temple University."

I heard there were serious integrity questions about him at AMT. Rumor was that he never graduated from college but told everyone, including investors in filings that he had a degree from Temple. His bio on the Crown site is silent on college. There was also always rumors about some open ended contract with a company owned by a relative. Anyone who knew SM knew an open ended contract wasn’t typically in his DNA. Funny that he was brought in by a Crown board member with experience at AMT who must have heard these rumors as well.

And Moskowitz wasn’t exactly successful at AMT. the guy was run out on a rail
