Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

PXD bonus and severance jaw dropping. 1000x better than other mergers. Lucky.

time served does not count for pension, only for 401k. Base pay could be more or less no matter if you've been here for 5 or 15 years. Each department and job title has set base with little to no progression in pioneer. There are a lot of people that have been "stuck" in their positions for a while.

Why would an employee here for 5 years have the same base as an employee here 15 years?

Will time served at Pioneer be counted in Exxon pension program?

It depends on who you ask. Most will see 39 weeks severance for 5 years of service at Pioneer.

If you can max out from years of service yeah, it is.
You need 25+ years in to max out.
But you If you have 15 years or less in, you still don't get what the layoffs in past 5 years got. 1.5 yr severance.

5 yrs x 3= 15 weeks + roughly 24 weeks for base= 39 weeks severance. 9.75 months

15 yrs x3= 45 weeks + roughly 24 weeks for base= 69 weeks severance. 1.32 year severance.

He-l some may be offered a job but no severance option 🤷‍♂️

Gonna be a long wait & see!
