Device return - help needed

Hi all, I misunderstood device return process — can someone please let me know the address to ship back my laptop to?

Yes I’m d-mb etc etc - need to send it back asap to receive severance pay so I’m fully willing to look stupid in this case.

Appreciate it if someone could help — thanks all!

Nobody cares as laptop is a brick after the lock and most likely depreciated fully and your severance should not be blocked .

@OP report back when able to return laptop, and get deposit of your severance check.

Icing on the cake: OP is now doubling dummkopf down by changing their reason of initial inquiry, from "what's the address to send it back" to "I already saved docs, just over-ran the deadline!"

It's like their ego can't handle reality, so it keeps reaching further for more/new excuses to try to save face.

So tediously unprofessional and immature.

Hi OP,

Email assetmgt-americas cisco email for help. You need to send your laptop in within 7 days. If you cannot ship the laptop back in time, just go ahead and turn it in at your nearest office.

Wow I see Cisco culture has really destroyed compassion in a few responders here. I saved my docs, just didn’t do the device return before my window of access closed, as I mentioned I misunderstood when that was meant to be done.

Asset team is helping me with this now.

@OP you have come to the right place, kid - one place for all truth where legends live and thrive. Eager to help each other, comrades.

It’s about time, HR and supports team scout this site for helping folks that need help. Cisco could as well post future notices of LR, and all related instructions here, as they all visit this place for advice - single source of truth.

I could help you further by making additional suggestions, but eh...you're on your own, kid. Figure it out. Time to stop pretending you're an adult, and instead, actually start BEING one.

You need to be medicated, or maybe just get laid.

Your post exemplifies probable reasons why you were let go.

  1. Asks for help before helping self, via utilizing common sense, with proactive, self-directed initiative.
  1. Shameless about labeling oneself as being "d-mb" and requesting for one's hand to be held, instead of independently seeking solutions to resolve the issue.

Let's think for a moment, shall we?
Did you reach out to HR or whomever notified you of your layoff for the info. needed? If not, why? And why are you asking us? The people who were laid off with you are not obligated to help, since you're no longer a co-worker of theirs, and the rest of us are just outsiders watching you squirm.

Why did you not retain the "paperwork" which was undoubtedly sent to you (usually via email) re: returning devices/next steps re: severance timeline? For future reference, SAVE (make PDFs and keep a folder of these on your own personal device and/or save to your personal email) ALL correspondence re: hiring and firing/layoffs. This way you can simply refer to what you already have on hand, rather than scrambling around begging others to resend or find info. you were already given (and should have retained for your own reference.) Be smart. Be organized. Think ahead. Don't waste other people's time, especially when it's regarding something you should already be able to do for yourself.
