Layoff season was late but it's happening now, Tuesday through Friday to capture all shifts and time zones. If you're in development start packing, just in case.

My last day is Friday, myself and few members of the team are leaving.
Hopefully this saves the job of a few of you who are still too afraid to move on.

Please don’t talk about it. It doesn’t do any good. Just accept it!!

No talk here of the December JL 10+ layoffs ongoing in December?
Quite a few names I have heard are impacted, seems to be company wide.

Let’s hope TC doesn’t go and Intel. He could easily bring that company back to its glory. He specializes in that kind of stuff. Fact!

Is it me or did a bunch of people leave recently?

The TC/TB comment is mostly accurate.

Would edit TC’s name out. TC does what TB asks him to do. That’s it. TC is the cover man for TB. For that service, be gets CEO pay, which is arguably too much for how much the company has shrunk.

TB, gets paid more, just look at where he lives. Most comes from Mubadala, which you cannot see in the 10-k.

This will continue until Mubadala is no longer the majority shareholder.

To @byam
"China stopped shipping gallium to the US." That means GloFo will pay more GA precursors, COGS will increase and Fab9 margins will drop. How could it make Fab9 more valuable?

TC is always one step ahead. Think about his GaN play. China stopped shipping gallium to the US. That will make fab 9 even more valuable!

Exactly what has TC achieved other than becoming really wealthy from GF stock? The foundation of GF is very shaky and there is no growth path. TC and TB have chosen to focus on cost cutting rather than innovation so the IP pipeline at GF is dry and the future doesn't look good. GF has bet the future on GaN and SiPh neither of which GF is a leader in and in both they are way behind schedule. Both TC and TB need to go and the sooner the better, they are causing GF to sink like the Titanic!!

Get real…very few could have achieved what he has. Be thankful, especially around the holidays!

Hopefully we can keep TC! I heard there are several other larger companies that want him as CEO. Prepare for a much better incentive package to retain his leadership.

If you got a very lazy legs up on table worker in your department and your wondering why they haven't been fired rest assured they're being saved for the layoff.

Every quarter and especially December this sort of post goes up and yet other than the department-specific layoff for GSC this year nothing actually materializes. Boy who cried wolf, etc.

Always assume your job is not safe, keep your resume updated and keep applying elsewhere, instead of constantly worrying about what may or may not happen.

I'm surprised they don't move the GDP bonus out in time that way they could sc--w more people out of their bonus. It is total horsesh*t that if you are not there on the date the bonus is given out in March that you don't get it even though you worked the whole previous year which is what the bonus is for. Even though they document this it doesn't seem legal to me, if you work the full year the previous year whether you leave Jan 1 or after March you should get the bonus!!! Thus, I'm surprised they haven't pushed the bonus out until June or July instead of March so they could sc--w more people out of their bonus!!

Do you think tariffs have any impact on moving production overseas?

You might actually be… but leadership and mgt 100% definitely do not see it. So many valuable left that would have stayed if mgt knew how to properly manage

Action will be taken second quarter of 2025 if attrition doesn't increase. Currently attrition numbers are high enough that a layoff isn't warranted. How many people do you know that have quit or will quit in the last month? Thank them for leaving. They're your shields. Raises will be given out in the first quarter of 2025. And they are not good. They're giving them out early in hopes more will quit. The way this economy is going, I'd ride it out until they offer you a package.
