Intel CEO Confirms TSMC’s Process Nodes To Power Next-Gen CPUs: N3 For Arrow Lake & N3B For Lunar Lake

Wait a min, if Intel Foundry is so good then why use TSMC? Oh yeah, you want actual products, not look at pretty PowerPoint slides and listen to Hot Air BS at presentations and conferences. MSFT fell for it, feeling kinda sad for them.

I think we’re just using TSMC for the GPU tiles, right?

Intel is using 18a for the CPU. Just using TSMC for graphics. It's going to incredible. Intel have the best manufacturing and engineers.

What is Intel going to do with their 3nm node process fab then? Building chips for other customers? Can they do that even not able to build their own chips? IFS seems to be very fishy business.

TSM always meets the schedule and we always slips our promised schedule.
So, to play a win-win strategy, we place our order on TSM to be safe on launch our product and... it's okay to sc--w our customers...
Smart move, Pat.

Easy to understand because Intel 3nm is su-k big time again so they have to use TSMC 3nm like any other fabless companies to play catchup game for production.

TSMC just got really lucky.
They’ll be in the rear view mirror.

What product is going to fill Intel fabs?

Looks like IFS is going to get spun out like when AMD ditched globalfoundries.
