As the title says, and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out or if cvs has to close all Arkansas stores. For context, the state of Arkansas made it illegal for a PBM to own a pharmacy.

Cheering this legislation on while simultaneously ignoring the influence of Walmart on it is a perfect encapsulation of the type of people that generally sit on this site complaining all day long.
Illinois is looking at a PBM "head tax". Levying a $15 per-enrollee fee on PBMs to pay the cost of administering the bill and to fund grants to provide financial support for community pharmacies in rural counties, low-income communities and medically underserved areas.
Many other states are pursuing similar legislation. CVS does not have the capital to support a multi-state defense. I can't see any other future than a spin-off.
How come they can steal, but you won't let us Arkansas. It's just not fair that we cannot rob your people too.
Since they exempted Walmart’s employee PBM it should be seen as an obvious gift from the Walton family owned Arkansas politicians, but who knows.
