@OP Guessing the beginning started today. VP of Professional Services and Senior Director of Data Infrastructure Insights announcement happened today, wonder what else will happen in the next week or two.
@1zt Hiring freeze until Q3
Was interviewing for a role and haven’t heard back about it for over a month, guessing that won’t be changing any time soon?
Security, EIS, IAM will be outsourced.
@1t4 is it company wide or is it org specific ? Can you tell anything more ?
@1t4 What org are these Sr Dirs and VP in? Haven't heard it in my org yet.
Sept 22nd is the day... Confirmed by 3 different sr. Directors and a VP.
Sept?
@xp of course there isn't. People talk about layoffs on this site all the time (that is the name of the site, after all). There rarely is any proof. But when it does happen people say "see, told you so" and everyone ignores all the times it didn't happen.
Is there any credible evidence that would suggest a layoff is coming? If so, would anyone present said evidence? This site has become horribly unreliable. No facts, no sources, only endless fear mongering every quarter turn, like clockwork. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Ouch, why so hard on GK? Stock price is going up baby!!
10 years ago, NetApp was making just over $6B. Inflation-adjusted, you should be at ~$8.5B today.
Reality? While the IT world is breaking records, you’re stuck in neutral. Same names at the top, same stale strategy, same results.
NetApp isn’t just underperforming – it’s turning into a case study in how to waste a decade.
@a3
LR boosts stock price.
how do you know?
They are already delaying anyone who accepted an offer so that they can't start until Q3.
Aren't layoffs usually a little closer to EOQ?
Let's make a list, shall we?
Well, at least they're nice enough to do it before no PTO pay out.../s
Seriously?
NetApp stock is going up high, how can they have another layoff?
