Can I get a show of hands from those of you who are actively seeking new job opportunities outside of CVS? I know there are some who plan to remain with the company until the very end, regardless of the current circumstances (WHY???) but I'm guessing they're a minority.

This is hilarious. Most of you are worthless and no one is coming for you. If you are on this site complaining about your job prospects it's because you su-k and nobody wants to hire you. If you got fired it's because you are garbage and we have tons of garage people working here. Don't bother you are truly worthless if you are posting on this site. I'm just here to remind you of how useless you are.
It’s a great time. Recruiters are reaching out on LinkedIn because they heard about the layoffs from the media.
Nice try McDonalds HR lady.
Staying until the end, but dusting off the resume.
Definitely developing a Plan B as I don’t think the layoff cycle is ending anytime soon.
I'm with Omnicare. I'm trying so hard to get off this sinking ship, but as others have said, The job market is REALLY bad right now. I feel like the start of 2025 after the elections and companies have budgets for employees, it will be a lot better.
@1yxe+1veAtUg9 it is good some recruiters are reaching out. They say that laid off employees get highest priority, but I know for sure they already have their buddies or friends lined up to take those open roles.
HR recruiters are reaching out to me, they are circling the wagons.
Always open to it. I’m too old to hire, too young to retire. I’ll ride this out to the scene of the crash. Just started this year after coming here from another burning ship. AI is everywhere. Knowledge workers are already doomed. After 20+ years in IT my next job may be a menial minimum wage service job.
Already have something lined up! Fu-k this place
Market is cr-p
Anyone in the IT space should start looking. Do not be loyal to people who did not care about your career growth.
It's brutal out there. Every interviewer asks about the layoffs. CVS/Aetna is so antiquated with people in senior management who undermine their staff because they are scared. I have yet to be asked about creating pivot tables in excel, iykwim. The good news is we are all underpaid.
It's like a cult. Be devoted to the person in charge. Pray you are not sacrificed so that someone else..friend, husband, sister, gets to keep their job.
Already have something lined up.
Currently looking inside the company and outside the company. Had two interviews inside company and waiting to hear if they will consider me for an open role. Outside the company had one interview so waiting to hear back on that one.
It’s an easier said than done thing. It’s a mix of laziness and being too tired from this job to do much else.
But yes in addition to layoffs I’ve seen about 15% turnover in my bubble of engineering. Timing is crazy or these guys got jobs quick because all of them seemingly started looking post layoff just a month ago.
Waiting until January to start looking again. I started looking in the spring, but too many ghost jobs, etc. It was a waste of time. Only terrible employers (worse than CVS) and start ups were actually hiring. The few interviews I had smacked me in the face with so many obvious red flags it gave me a concussion. I hope hiring with normal employers will loosen up in January after the election and new budgets are set.
I am but I cant get an interview I think age and salary are barriers to jobs Im looking at sadly
I've been leaving for 20 years now . This place is like an abusive relationship that you just don't have enough respect for yourself to leave!
Been looking since the spring. I could smell the end of layoffs wasn’t near.
It’s been a tough search with lots of final round interviews only for jobs to be closed unfilled.
