Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Where were the lay offs ? Only hearing of furloughs. Anyone know ?

In the email from Carlos on Monday he said 500 furloughs and 500 layoffs. Anyone know where the layoffs occurred ( business unit ) or know anyone laid off ?

I'm sorry but 'furlough' to me is no different than laying off. All it is is prolonging the pain. It's a legal maneuver to use during this pandemic. A company can say 'oh, we are furloughing some because we aren't sure the business need will be there in a few months.' and then they just don't recall those people. How awful!

@8qlf+154aCFvF Oh I see you were specifically looking for lay-off not furlough. Sorry I missed that part. Yes I have not heard anything regarding layoffs only furloughs.

@7snr+154aCFvF You have to read through the other threads on this discussion board. Some were furloughs in RPO.

Everyone saved their $1000 payout AND their government issued stimulus payments, right? No problem. You got this. It's just another bump in the road. You'll flourish even greater when its all over. The ADP gods promise it will be OK.

Whew Chile!!!
ADP is laying people off? I heard that "would never happen" by so many. I guess it's an awakening. Rude, or otherwise.

My two cents is that it was written like that on purpose to throw off anyone who may not want to be identified within their B/U, yes I realize it’s anonymous but I think they’re taking an extra step.

Agree, focus on he content.

Would love to get some actual replies to the question posed. Any news on where the layoffs or furloughs have occurred? I'm in NAS implementation and have not heard anything, about any BU.

Perhaps the comment was written by someone whose first language isn’t English or by someone who was in a hurry or really, why does it even matter? I’m sure the last two commenters, if reading very, very slowly, can get the general idea of the previous comment and focus on the actual content.

@5tyg+154aCFvF Good Lord, that rant made little to no sense. Try again with some proper spelling and grammar.

To Anonymous Post ID: @5tyg+154aCFvF, to read your post is to decide that you are functionally illiterate. How did you get hired at ADP? I hope that you were not client-facing, as you should have been fired just for bad grammar.

ADP lost 20 “ Big clients in January of this year . And they will be lay off more in July 2020. More clients are leaving by the end of the year . COS department located in Alpharetta Georgia is where The COS department is located . LayOff people in Feb of the year2020. Marriott Hotels will be leaving in Dec 2020. Director Tiffany Johnson should be layed off she nasty person . She looking out for her old team . The Laos in the COS department in Alpharetta Georgia are not being done fairly they’re letting go a lot of the older people and keeping the new people all the jobs going over to Pune India do you have to be in a click to keep your job don’t be old the managers write you up for anything no matter how little worries even if it’s their fault because they were not. You will be at fault you will be Blaine that’s how they get us out the door this is not a good company. Mini years ago this was a great company They’re going through a lot of financial struggle internally we had a Townhall meeting last year they said the property was up 7% that’s not good for a company to size of ADP that’s really poor increase of 7% they need to get rest some of these directors in COS with these big salaries

Who cares. Working for ADP is now a terrible place. Anyone saying otherwise is delusional and kidding themselves. Stay there, don't. Get laid off, don't. It does not matter. Work like a donkey for 20 years and get kicked out because someone just chooses to increase his 19 million yearly income. Do what you think is best for you or don't. I sure don't care about ADP or anyone there!

@1ywh+154aCFvF I agree those on here being rude to others, no wonder they are not happy at their jobs. Real lack of professionalism. I’m not impressed. Those people shouldn’t be working for a corporate company if they can’t carry on a conversation without being nasty.

Seriously, any current employee concerned about layoffs is focusing on the wrong thing. The ONLY focus should be finding a better place to work than ADP, and quickly! More layoffs ARE coming.

ADPs strategy, furlough people and make them think they will be coming back, this way we can make our books look good for fiscal year not paying out all the severance in this fiscal year. Then when next fiscal year hits lay them all off. I think this is what will happen. Corporations always do what is in their best interest. They never have the employees best interest in mind. Do not be fooled it has anything to do with the Coronavirus. This was going to happen anyway in July 2020. For those of you who were furloughed find another job and be happier.

I agree with the last poster. They furloughed many top performers. Just doesn’t make sense. The whole thing makes me so sad. Even though I wasn’t affected by Monday’s furloughs I know that my time is coming. I have been here over 15 years and planned to retire here. Sadly, I don’t believe that will be an option now.

Who are you saying should be fired with a big salary? There are a bunch of non-contributing passengers in the upper ranks and a lot that are political kiss-ups.

if I was in charge i would fire whoever picked some of the people.. But hey let''s k–l the company more by keeping incompetent big salaries and a$$kissers and get rid of the middle managers who work their butts off
