I think there is a cap on the number of weeks you get. I believe it is 36 weeks. So, if you've been with the company a really long time, you won't get more than 36 weeks.

The severance package for regular non-bonus positions is 1 week for every six months of service. (So 6 1/2 years would be 13 weeks). Not sure what other packages might be out there.

@1yrj+1tS2oZMT - "Yes. That is what is happening. Process is expected to be complete by January 1, 2025."

That's a very specific date! Is that an estimate or did you hear/see that timeline from somewhere?

Any inside info on National Geographic? Will content people there be eased out as well, or are they protected by the brand.

I wanted to mention that the CPMs at Gale were laid off back in April. Some individuals departed in May, while others remained until August. It wasn't feasible for them to outsource all the positions to India simultaneously. Therefore, technically speaking, these layoffs occurred several months ago.

Based on the provided information, here is a summary of the departures for the week of July 28th:

A total of 54 employees are departing from various departments and locations within the company. Here are some key observations:

Geographical distribution:
The majority of departing employees are from the United States, with a significant number working virtually across different states.
There are also departures from international locations, including Canada, Australia, Japan, UK, Brazil, and Malaysia.

Departments affected:
Global Content Production appears to be losing several content managers and senior content managers.

Human Resources is seeing departures across various roles, including HR Business Partners, Coordinators, and Specialists.

Customer Support and Service Experience teams are also affected.
Other impacted departments include Sales, Product, Platform Technology, and Supply Chain.

Seniority levels:
The list includes a mix of junior, mid-level, and senior positions.
Several senior roles are departing, including Senior Content Managers, Senior HR Partners, and a Director of Workforce Development.

Work arrangements:
Many of the departing employees were working virtually or in "OfficeFlex" arrangements.
Some were based in physical offices or distribution centers.

This departure list suggests a significant reorganization or restructuring across multiple departments and geographical locations within the company. The high number of departures, particularly in content production and human resources, may indicate strategic changes or potential challenges in these areas.
