Considering the years of real medical experience that the domestic Paragon team had, there's really no point in off-shoring and expecting competent improvements to any of the applications that make up the product suite. The vast majority of QA, Product Managers, and actual Developrs had degrees in nursing and had worked for years in hospitals as nurses. A large number of applications were nursing-specific, so our teams were able to discuss proposed changes with actual client leadership, ensuring we delivered changes that met their expectations. That skillset has largely been decimated by executives who are beyond ignorant as to what they had, starting from Horizon 'leadership' who regularly spoke poorly of Paragon in order to prop up Horizon so as to justify their own six figure salaries. Had they been cut loose just after the McKesson products were acquired, we might not be in such dire straights as a company.

The India teams are cheap labor and nothing more. They don't even realize how they're being dumped on.

India teams know nothing clinically speaking. Pharmacy is just the beginning.

It is funny to see the Executive's lackey trolling this site asking for facts. Which month in 2020 hasn't Allscripts laid off people?

It has been stated many times here. RIF is always clandestine... This is the golden rule..you work under the Allscripts umbrella you WILL BE LET GO. don't kid yourself.

The India teams have no idea how Pharmacy works. I only hope that nobody dies.

"Don't blame the consultant" ?
It smell something reminiscent of weed influencing that thought process...

This is Allsctipts. Layoffs are never done until all jobs are moved to India.

Don’t blame the consultant! Their project scope, approach and deliverables are laid out in the contact.

They were brought in to create the resource lay-off plan and asset sale plan for Board Review. The rascals who created the mess, are now executing the consultants recommendations they told them to create in the first place.

Read RPs investor guidance in Q2.

That is exactly what the consultants do. They just reported what the executives wanted them to say. The consulting company got the fee and the executives get someone to blame if it does not work out. Win-win situation!!!

It seems like allscripts “the layoff” thread is extremely busy compared to other companies. That really says something about this company haha

I'd hesitate to call them the recommendations of the consulting company. They were only brought in to present confimation of what PB already wanted to do. Funny how those expert consultants never find anything that the C-level leadership need to change in themselves.

Paragon team’s today is other teams’ tomorrow. All R&D resources will be moved to India by following the consulting company’s recommendations.

Being part of unit that is being sold is better than being part of a unit that is being shut down. You have a job with the new company, unless the new company is just buying a client list.

It is ridiculous that management keep the RIF in secret. They just want to slaughter the hardworking US workers and trade their meat and blood from their own personal gains. In the end, Allscripts will only have the lovely couple - PB and LK - sleeping on their millions.

It’s really tough to know the actual numbers and impact since everyone is remote and the leadership is hush hush. While I Persia I want the very best for all the employees and my friends, it’s a sinking ship. They are struggling to retain existing customers forget new revenue. To sustain whatever clients remain, PB and LK are grooming cheap Indian labor...RIF coming big time in Sep/Oct. Good luck to all!
