Any thoughts on the matter would help as I work @the Wichita site 737 line

Let's say the premise is true. That would mean that there would be SEC filings. A matter of public record. Especially if it is with a foreign entity.
Even in China you have to file paperwork in advance of the deal and you have to let stakeholders know. And when that stakeholder is the Chinese government, the reprocussions are much worse.
Add to that the state of relations between the US and China right now. Whether you agree or disagree with the administration the relationship is what it is.

COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corp of China) is awaiting approval for the final buyout of The Boeing Company with majority controlling rights of 51%. After the buyout, COMAC intends to have the bought-out company retain the usage of the boeing brand so as not to confuse the american and international public.
The joint venture on the 737 completion facility/plant at Zhoushan, Zhejiang province in China will have the facility renamed as the COMAC - Boeing Manufacturing & Delivery Center.
COMAC plans to re-negotiate the 737 supply contract with Spirit Aerosystems while eventually implementing plans toward replacing the 737 MAX with the FAA-approved C919 aircraft.
Rumor has it that Boeing used to OWN the 737 line in Wichita and they sold it off to get away from the Union who had a good thing going but got greedy.
What? You did not know Boeing used to have that large presence in Wichita? How soon we forget.
