Most of EM managers have the perception that they are more superior than Chevron.. recent times I see the better EM employees joining Chevron, at least those that can work.. but are not good at Show at tell like woman interest network.. no idea what tangible value do they bring.. apart from telling us about their home and what they cook..
Our earnings call goes out to huge numbers but I guess its just voice. Perhaps DW needs time to board his helicopter and fly away before the masses get the cut news?

@1eni+17rXg01k - never thought I would see this day. But my admiration for Chevron grows by the day. XOM management can learn so much from CVX about how to have integrity, be forthright and not stab employees in the back.

This is a joke. Companies live stream events (Apples iPhone launch for one) all the time. I guess we must be a far superior technology company that not live-streaming is the way of the future. Cutting edge we are!

This is Darren letting the company know he was PIP'd at end of July and that this will be his last week!
He should do the honorable thing-apologize to all of the employees for running the company into the ground and totally devaluing our stock and then HUMBLY step down. Of course, none of this will happen, the arrogance and deflection will continue and he will demonstrate once again that the morale of the people that make this company go is secondary to his own ego.

No way. This will be a standard “these are tough times, we need manage costs, but we are on track for the long term” message. He will acknowledge some employees will be impacted and that’s about it. He is not going to announce layoffs in a forum. Bad news is always delegated to others.

On one hand, a recorded forum that you can’t attend or ask live questions screams “layoffs”. On the other hand, I can’t imagine that news of country specific layoffs would go out to the whole company In a ceo forum prior to being announced to the country being getting ungently laid.
