Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Contact your health dept for covid if CDC Rules not being followed

I called OSHA who said contact your health dept if covid CDC rules arent being followed at work.

For STL- The county health dept is 4 DOORS DOWN!

The form is below- you can put a fake name in if you want but fill it out so that they know rules are not enforced. Change can only happen if we do something. I filled one out!

http://www.stlouisco.com/Health-and-Wellness/Contact

You can submit an OSHA form too they said but they defer first to the county health dept first

Well put, @1xpj. We all have to be in this effort to defeat this virus. Infectious diseases can’t be controlled if some people think taking sensible measures are optional or a matter of personal preference. Either we beat this thing or it continues to beat us. Arguments that emphasize “personal responsibility” and which tell us we’re free to move out of dangerous work conditions really miss the point here, too. The point is that Boeing is obligated, under STL county government guidelines, to make sure that its employees are wearing masks and that other appropriate measures are in place. The simple fact is that the management is failing to do this. They are willfully violating these guidelines. No credible effort is being made to enforce the rules, even though we all know the violations are blatant and widespread.

To the last poster- Being responsible for just yourself while everyone else is running wild isn't the solution.

If that were the case I could drive as fast and as wreckless as I want on the highway since I'm wearing my seat belt. Should I not care about the other people on the road - I'm not the only car!!

Everyone has to follow the rules for us to contain this virus- not just me!

You make a good point "the experts say do 4 things" so do them. Be responsible and accountable for yourself, Boeing is only responsible to provide PPE, its up to you to follow the guidlines and no one is being disciplined for asking for another assignment because its not safe. Even if that were the case, quit the horrible encampment that is holding you there in abhorent conditions against your will.

Boeing could not figure out how to make the MAX safe by not putting enough redundancy to the system. On top of it they lied to the FAA and the pilots at the US3, what makes you think they care about their employees?

The experts say do 4 things- wash your hands (you should be anyway), social distant, wear a mask-and avoid large crowds.

This isnt that hard- The grocery stores have figured it out! Walmart has figured it out!

Is Boeing not as smart?? Do we need more engineers to figure it out? Do we need an agile meeting?

if Boeing can't figure out a simple solution as others have- then they should just limit capacity allowing only a certain number of people in the labs, offices, plant floor, etc and call it a day.

Boeing "could" figure it out- they dont want to. They want everyone in working but telling you its safe.
I ask them– "How have your made it safe??" Solved by A jug of sanizer by the door!
Bravo Boeing! So proud you have stepped up.
By the way the sanitizer's been empty for a week now!

The “sheep” are those who are in denial about the severity of the situation and continually repeat a bogus comparison between covid and flu. Not only is covid far more lethal, it is also proving to have serious and lasting effects for many who initially seemed to have “mild” cases. People who work in healthcare will tell you this is nothing like regular flu. Denial of the basic facts of this situation is what has brought our country to such a bad place. Many other countries have taken a different approach and done much, much better. To the original poster I say: good work. Bars in STL were recently forced to shut down because they didn’t take health measures seriously. If this company ‘s management continue to allow irresponsible behavior in their facilities, they should be shut as well.

You can call me a sheep but 175,000 are dying from something!

And I dont think its the flu this summer..

Paying attention to a lot of sudden death and how to avoid it, is not being a sheep- its being aware.

The flu doesnt k–l 173,000 people in less than 6 months. Not a true comparison

Plus you can get a flu shot!

Or dont be unrationally afraid and just live your life. Read the stats and realize this thing is no bigger than influenza.
