"The registration period for the Second 2020 VLO begins on August 28, 2020. Invited employees will be able to submit a registration of interest in VLO by the due date specified in the invitation. The registration due date for the Second 2020 VLO is 11:59pm PST on September 4, 2020. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

After careful consideration by function and organization leaders and the VLO steering team, requests will be approved or denied based on the eligibility and selection criteria. After the leadership review, employees will be informed of their registration approval or denial via Worklife (red bell notification). Registration approval or denial notification for the Second 2020 VLO will occur by September 16, 2020. There are two possible layoff dates for the Second 2020 VLO: October 2, 2020 or December 4, 2020. After an employee’s request for voluntary layoff is approved, they will be provided a layoff date based upon skill need and organization reduction plans."

Why VLO when you can hang out at the Boeing old folks home and make money?

@1cgz+16wq8lM0 because unlike union folks, I care about my coworkers. Unions used to be about that too, now its about what can I get for me.

Why do you care so much about another poster? It’s dumb move on already.

@1xop+16wq8lM0 intent does not matter. The PRO does not say "If you did not intend any harm, we will forget this ever happened"

Look, all I can do is warn you. Boeing has a vested interest in letting people go for cause. Its cheaper. You have seen them cut costs, why wouldn't they do it with people.

Do your job, keep your nose clean, and let them make you leave WITH severance.

@1btn+16wq8lM0 I honestly don’t think that person posted with intent to for shady stockholder business, appears to me just letting others within Boeing know the Info is avl if they need it. Could they have left out the paragraph and just said it’s there? Absolutely. I’ve seen WAY worse things on sites like this, everything on here is a joke and nothing should be taken seriously, it seems to be more people creating bs than anything else

Boeing is too big to fail. Won’t be needing another job.

How’s yours at Starbucks going? How are the things at the true dead end?

@1yzx+16wq8lM0 is it going to help our competitors? No.

Is it information that can impact the stock price? Yes.

Its the same reason we are not allowed to trade Boeing stock except right after earnings are made public.

Yes, eventually it will be made public. But it was not at the time it was posted.

Let's say you trade stock or leak earnings two days before they are to be made public. Try the argument "but it would be made public eventually" in court. It won't work.

Boeing is hemorrhaging money right now. Every cent counts. If they can can your a– without paying severance, they will. My only point is not to give them a reason to do so.

Serious question for Boeing employees, or former Boeing employees: what do you do for a career after working there? The world has too many planes, and likely will for the next few decades, so you won't be getting hired to build more elsewhere. What are the other options?

Was propriety information shared? No.
Internal information? You mean information that will be public on the 24th? Calm down.. just brothers and sisters on here trying to help one another out, not leek “insider information” for Boeing’s competitors to get ahold of and do what with? Exactly.

this simple information goes public... actually the media gets this kind of information before we in house do! Komo 4 announced our shut down in march before Calhoun sent out the email.... transparent company for sure!

HAHA @xtv+16wq8lM0 you must not work in Boeing IT. You can rest assured the Security talent at Boeing is just not there to identify anyone by IP address on this site. How would they do it with a high school diploma or liberal arts degree? You would need a high level STEM degree and experience to pull that off, and those types would never accept lowball Boeing IT salaries.

"After they track their IP they will be terminated w/o severance." HAHA good one, you've given away the fact you don't work at Boeing. Everyone here knows it's not possible to get terminated at Boeing.

@cif+16wq8lM0 yes I do. Why? Because Boeing is CHEAP! If they can fire you rather than pay you severance, they would search the bottom of the ocean.

If you have high seniority, you cost more money both in pay and severance. If they can find a reason to get rid of you, they will.

I did not "snitch" haven't told anyone. But you underestimate the slimmest of corporations. Just look at what they are already responsible for. Its not to tell anyone, its a warning. If you choose to ignore the warning, thats on you.

You honestly think that with everything else that's going on in the company, they're coming to this website to try and nab this guy for posting some of the least damaging information imaginable?

Only way they'd go through that much trouble would be if you had a big mouth.

Good luck snitch.

I hope the OP knows that bu doing a copy and paste of internal information and websites is a violation. Punishable by termination.

So I guess they won't have to worry about a VLO. After they track their IP they will be terminated w/o severance.

Before you say "but its anonymous", nothing on the internet is anonymous.

Good luck with your hearing
