Obviously, during this event, she/Mark will mention the number of employees getting dismembered.
Do you think people will get tapped on the shoulder before or after this date? Could she potentially drop the bombshell that day and then people start getting tapped on the shoulder the following week, or does that seem unlikely?

Does it matter whether someone will tap you on the shoulder before that? No, what matters is everyone now is under enormous pressure and that would not change by getting a tap or an email one week earlier.

2 levels of mgmt in my dept got axed last week. Directors and SVPs. No I will not tell you which dept. Some in NYC, some outside of NYC.
Some people are in denial or minimizing the upcoming layoffs. Execs keep pretending the simplification is a good thing for us. It is not. A large number of employees will get fired soon. As usual execs and managers have protected their peers so the majority of layoffs will be from the worker bees class. They already have the lists.
Does it matter?
