Union gap, WA Sears (the last FLS to re-open post COVID closure) is finally re-opening, just got an email:

To our members and customers:

We hope you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy. Our top priority is the health and safety of our associates, members and the communities we serve.
As your state begins to re-open, we are pleased to announce that your local Sears Store and Sears Auto Center in Union Gap will re-open this Friday, July 10 at 11 a.m. The entire store will be open to serve you, but if you prefer to shop online, you can use our curbside In-Vehicle Pick-Up option on sears.com orders.
To ensure you are safe and comfortable returning to your local Sears Store, we will be following CDC recommendations. Our store will be clean, our associates will be ready to serve you and you can expect the following when you arrive:

• We have implemented a health screening process for all associates to follow

• All associates will be wearing masks – but they will be wearing a smile behind those masks!

• Associates will be cleaning high touch point areas throughout the day

• We have installed plastic sneeze guards at checkouts

• Visual cues will be located at checkouts to encourage social distancing

• For now, our fitting rooms will be closed

• We also are limiting in-store returns – click here for our current return policies
Store hours will be 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Sears Auto Centers will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and will be closed on Sunday. These hours will be subject to change based on decisions by local officials. Please see the store locator on sears.com for updated hours of operation.

Have stores even been receiving new merchandise in the last couple weeks/months or is it the same old c-ap shuffled around from closing stores and warehouses?

The reopening of the Yakima Valley and the tri-cities area today has been insane. We are finally reopening retail, and people are dying of cabin fever. The Ross had lines like it was Black Friday. Sears management of course is going full tard and missed out on what was probably the biggest shopping day of the year. Considering our lack of everything, I would hazard that we are not going to have the biggest shopping day ever.

I for one, am positively GIDDY at the prospect of shopping at the luxurious Union Gap Sears!! Break out the champaign and caviar darling!

With endless out of stocks, old tired inventory, and dispirited associates who are waiting for the ax to fall.
What a glorious CLUSTER!!!

I am sure this store is going to be liquidating with in the next 2-3 months

From looking at the Sears.com store locator listings, it appears that the Appliance & Mattress stores in Fort Collins CO, Camp Hill PA, and Pharr TX are also reopening.

Watch they reopen it Friday and then announce its liquidating on Monday. That would be funny.
