Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Is Broadcom buying Dell?

With Michael selling off 1.2 billion shares, is Dell setting itself up for sale? Several colleagues have mentioned Broadcom is considering taking on Dell, and others have pontificated that NVIDIA might be the one to take on that merger.

Thoughts? Is anyone else hearing this?

I think Michael will start his own start-up company, specifically an AI server company. He could partner with Elon and other AI-fronted companies, cozy up to them over the next 20 years, and control the data center again - but with more nimble moves being private. With this move, he is not weighed down by a bloated 40+-year-old company.

Michael Dell has many different types of shares, yes he has sold 20million but he owns over 200million between B and C class shares. There is speculation that he is selling because tax laws have the potential to change with the new presidency and he’s minimizing his taxes owed by selling now. Notice Warren Buffet doing the same.

you don't wish to be acquired by any company especially brooooadcommm. they usually buy the cash cow and get rid of 95% of employees. Dell is selling mostly low margin junks. Why would anyone be interested?

He ain’t sellin Sh-t. He’s a pump and dumper, he knew the stock was ripe at $122 per share because his company spent the last 2 years vomiting out the letters “AI.” Getting people to believe that Dell has a plan for it. And that bubble is about to burst, when it does do you really think Dell is going to be one of the 2-3 major players in its innovation?

We are all stuck with this dude and his crew of C Suite “geniuses” for some time to come unfortunately

If you buy one lower margin hardware business, you probably have to buy all of them. Don't forget up and coming "Mega Networks" from India too while on hardware company shopping spree as they are also making AI servers (probably at 1/10th cost including labor). - https://meganet1.com/

I don't think it's NVIDIA. It doesn't feel like it's in their best interest to buy Dell.

MD has all the B class shares - C class is of no vote value as such only way is M to sell .

Broadcom is very very unlikely option

Nvidia might be

MD has over 280 million shares, you are only talking about the small amount he has in Dell Tech shares. It's not a quarter of his holdings.

Broadcom wont buy Dell. More likely Dell is preparing to buy someone else, there is plenty of undervalued companies out there waiting to be borged into the machine. They could buy HPE with loose change and nab Juniper as part of the deal. or Nutanix , or any number of small companies waiting to be made good.

This doesn't hold weight. Are things significantly changing at Dell - yes. What's going to happen is all speculation. I have not seen anything solid yet.

Dropping 10 million out of a possible 28 million shares is actually quite significant. This got me curious as well.

LoL. The hopium here is insufferable.

CEOs don't dump shares while in the process of finding a buyer of their companies.
