Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Are you kidding me with this?

Each time someone was called in, HR went to that desk to get the employee's personal stuff. The employee didn't even get to go back to their desk. Very sad and what a way to show appreciation for the way these people busted their chops to complete the Year End tasks.

Is this really how it happens? There really isn't a better way to do this? Such shameful behavior toward loyal (now former) employees...

How is Debbie keeping her job?

Easy , she checks all the ‘boxes’ AND knows her bonus is driven on reducing expensive head counts, regardless of their years of excellent job knowledge and ability to serve clients effectively.

NAS is getting hit hard. Every team I speak with is seeing some layoffs.
How is Debbie keeping her job when every objective financial metric is down?
Bill Ackman was right that NAS is a mess, but their solutions are making things worse.
They do need to cut, but not frontline associates. It's the management that is making dumb decisions that needs to be fired.

I actually experienced that several years ago, while with ADP. I went to lunch as I normally would. When I returned, 3 desks immediately around me were empty. That seemed a bit unusual, but meetings, client visits, or half days off, could account for that. Wrong! I was glad I was not there to see it. Each had been called from their desk and escorted out of the building. That was maybe 10 - 15 yrs ago, but I never forgot it.
I was lucky enough to be part of the VERP, though it was not really voluntary since my position was also being eliminated. I wish good luck to those being affected now, right after helping the company and clients through Year-End.

Ha! And moving to Pune, India is going to fix it? Ever look into how corrupt and morally bankrupt that society is? Oh, I know, make all the women walk behind you? That's real progress and should make you feel like a man!

And people wonder why ADP reduces force or that was written on purpose in that manner.

Well done.

I ask who ever please make this public, put this is the new . Put us in the new. They payed us off with no notice . We training the people in Pune India for months only to have our jobs take from us. I understand business it’s the way ADP did it. We have family’s , a They keep us only to get them thought the end of the year. ADSp listing they client base is they own fault they’re overcharging these clients. The payroll system is very manual it is not automated the payroll process is a long process that takes 2 1/2 days. For the employees that started leaving voluntarily looking for other jobs they were very smart I wish I had of done that but I have faith in ADP faith it was missed placed I saw so many people miss treated and harassed there by managers HR never help these people you look up they will walk them out the door employees are not treated well at ADP please do not bring your payroll to ADP I asked all big companies do not bring your payroll or human resources or benefits or anything to ADP they will drain your pockets employees are treated unkind and I’m human and were overworked I’ve lost so many employees in the last eight months I guess I should’ve been assigned to all of us as people walked out the door in Alpharetta Georgia office for the COS department no employees will replace it or replace in Pune India that should’ve been our sign . The majority of the people that were laid off well over 40 with over four years or more discrimination ADP age discrimination. ADP is lost this way if there is no culture they do last year they were losing money in a town hall meeting they stated they were up 7% that’s not a big increase for a business of ADP size they should’ve known then they were in trouble but you have all these reports out that you’re hired all these people liar. Employees were walked out the door unable to get the personal belongings treated like trash as if they violated some law or stole something they were walked out the door and they will come behind the other person and get that person is things how cold I will not miss my job at ADP I will find another job I would never work for ADP again. I now believe what my manager said in the next five years the COS department in Alpharetta Georgia would totally be in Pune India the average salary is 4000 a year I wish them the best.

yes, the best response is to give them the opposite reaction. if you're let go, say 'THANK YOU! Finally it's my turn and I can get out of this living nightmare!"

When it’s my turn ill be tempted to say oh I’m getting let go? Oh thank god! I thought I was getting promoted and would have to stay. And make a very dramatic sigh of relief. :)

Can you imagine being in the cubicle next to someone getting laid off? How demoralizing would that be? I feel so bad for the folks left at that place.
