Looking at the org charts there are many Directors and Managers who don't meet the 14 direct reports span and layers criteria. Will some or all of them be realigned to fit into this new Modern Dev model. My guess is yes but to what extent is to be seen.

Folks in town for an 'off-site' in HOPK 176 this week....
management told us that we are clear and it's over
engineering layoffs are over
There are no layoffs planned for the next few weeks
It will be earlier than that
I don't even see how they can lay me off unless they completely abandon the feature I am supporting. I've been told it's critical to the company and I'm the ONLY PERSON supporting/developing it.
This place is insane.
Wait until they realize AI is a joke like the rest of us already have.
Next week is going to be rough.
Good Luck in your next role
Stay or go - it’s changing
Agreed. It's going to be a cold september.
For the person who keeps repeating that layoffs are over on various threads, you either mean over for this week or you are deliberately peddling misinformation. Rest assured, there are many more layoffs to come over the coming months. The current headcount of circa 108k (down from its recent 120k level) will continue to decline until we get below 90k, if not much lower. We’re not even half way there yet. Good luck to you all
Dell is a slow moving trainwreck. Next stop.
Layoffs are over for now
engineering is too broad...what groups are you referring too??????
No, that date is too speculative
One PG dir who yelled at everyone of his teammates had less than 14 in his team. I can assure you , none of his teammates will treat him well if he became their peer.
Many of the directors/sr managers aren't good as individual contributors .
