I Know, but I was just replying to that person who made the "disclaimer" post, a few posts below this.

But that disclaimer doesn't shield that article's author from legitimate criticism. The criticism in this thread, it appears to me, is directed at the Forbes author, not anybody in this thread. That Forbes author is incredibly ignorant as he himself admits he doesn't Know how many Sears are here. Meanwhile Ron, Jack, or about 1000 other people in here can rattle off every remaining store in their Sleep. This Forbes guy needs to be better informed if he is going to write such articles, especially since he is a self-proclaimed retail "guru, expert, etc.".
Again, my grade-school aged daughter could easily google how many Sears are left and give you that answer in 30 Seconds, while this Forbes guy is too lazy to do that? He deserves the criticism he gets. Anyone with a computer can find out that total count within Seconds. For the record, the information is right here, but this is the full line ones only:

In all fairness, the disclaimer told everyone there's nothing new here you don't already know. If we had hard facts, we would not be debating trivial matters ad nauseam.

Wow this lady or gentleman really took pettiness to a whole new level. Must be a Sears manager to be so petty, I wonder how many down votes they gonna give me lol

Stupidest article I have ever seen. Not an ounce of news in there. Just waxing nostalgia about the history of Sears and what Eddie did to them. Any 8 Year old kid with a computer can easily google everything in that article in about 2 Minutes. Much to do about nothing. Forbes articles are really the worst kind of clickbait.
I mean, (and this is directed to the article's author), if you're going to write this gibberish, at least make it about SOMETHING. This buffoon doesn't even Know how many Sears are left. That is something that anybody in this layoff site could rattle off the top of their head in 30 Seconds. And this id–t claims to be some kind of retail "guru" or something? He doesn't even Know how many Kmart/Sears are left, while we make about 10 posts about that on this site on A DAILY BASIS. This Forbes article is really ignorant.

@1acg+18dT9Lh4 How do you Know it was him/he? Assumed the gender? Many ladies frequent this site too. Could have been a "she", for all you Know.

@1wko+18dT9Lh4 is really petty, he is sooo hilarious I can't stop laughing. He just followed my instructions like I told him to do. While my screen was still on I just watched him up-vote all his OWN postings 10 times and everyone else's posting down 10 times in 15 minutes.

Nobody cares about "stores" anymore anyway. Stores are about as relevant now, as typewriters, rotary phones, or VCR's. Almost everyone just shops online now. Let's write some articles about how we miss fax machines, or 8-track players, while we're at it. Boomers.

OP, what in the actual hell does "there are more than a few dozen are so" mean? DOZEN ARE SO? Dozens are so WHAT? Also it would be "you're a hater" not "your a hater". Also "who ARE specifically interested", not "who specifically interested ". You complain about grammatical errors and you made a lot of them. This article is bloviating nonsense anyway. It contains zero facts or information. He is fishing for clicks writing about empty shelves and sh–. Who cares? What matters is concrete facts. Which stores are closing and when? That's the important part, not this sensationalist nonsensical "filler" stuff.

OP here, I wish I could write so well lol. The article is actually a few weeks old and the forbes website is subscription based with a few freebies thrown in. I serious doubt there are more than a few dozen are so interested people here reading it, perhaps if you click on it 100,000 times you can make it go viral!!! I just wanted to SHARE since this website is dedicated for people who specifically interested in this topic, and many threads and comments here discussing the same exact issue. When I said "well written" – that is in comparison to all the postings here with poor grammar and misspellings.

I knew there would be few haters with nothing better to do in life, so I warned YOU NOT to read it if your a hater. I'm sure you will be down voting this and up voting yourself so have fun, buh-bye!

Hey OP, does Forbes pay you by the click? Things must be pretty bad at Forbes when you have to come on here and post clickbait to get people to read your ‘well written” article.

There's no stores left in my area to walk through anymore, but the pictures of these remaining stores during the holiday season say it all.

I didnt click it because all the prior Forbes ones were clickbaity sensationalism and I'm sure this will be no different. This silly author thinks he's Earnest Hemmingway, yet does not (as u yourself admit) one single ounce of information we do not already Know. Well earned downvote.

It’s a shame this is what it came to. I would never defend Eddie but the decline of Sears started long before him. As late as the early 2000s Sears management thought they were the best retailer in the world and nobody could beat the even as others were. It’s own ego started it’s decline.
