We were recently made to sign agreements to use #teamwfm instead of #wfmteammember on all social media. Why the change? This was in the SW. And honestly, how is this practice even LEGAL at all?

I wouldn't sign anything, and if I did I would fake my signature. #WFMteammember
Don't sign anything. Management is trying to control your life, they don't own you. #WFMteammember
Thanks for the reading material.
You may find this useful. http://www.xperthr.com/how-to/how-to-draft-and-enforce-a-social-media-policy-in-the-workplace/72/
Know your rights.
How are they going to enforce this? Wow, what a great use of labor dollars. They should focus on MANAGING A FAILING BUSINESS, instead of raising hell over a tm promoting artichoke dip on instagram.
Thanks for saying it so eloquently, EPAow2c-1fhi. I knew there was something wrong with what WFM is trying to do, just couldn't put it into words!!
The FCC recently changed rules around advertising on social media, known as truth in advertising. I.E. if a celebrity endorses a product, it must be known that the endorsement is a paid-for advertisement.
WF is being insane by thinking that its staff needs to do the same thing. If you read the rules very carefully, it only applies if person paid by a company is endorsing something on social media, i.e. providing transparency for followers. So unless you're posting #Ilove365foods, it should not apply to you, and it's pathetic of WF for trying to make you think otherwise. It's ridiculous that it's trying to exert that level of control over its entire staff when really the rules would only apply to a small number of global/regional or marketing personnel using their own social media accounts to drive product sales.
Here's an article that is more articulate than me: http://www.cyberalert.com/blog/index.php/updated-fcc-guidance-puts-social-media-marketers-on-notice/
FCC compliance?! What? Are you for real? Oh yes, the sinking ship of Austin...
It's to remain in FCC compliance, and it's in your latest version of the GIG on Workday.
Production sheet? Please, more on that. What region? #TeamWTF
A lot of companies require that their employees consent to social media monitoring. This is pretty normal. But what isn't normal is a company pretending to be above this kind of behavior. Get off your high horses E-Team. You're no better than WalMart. You're worse for pretending you are.
I guess had these idiots thought this through in any kind of way they would have decided on TeamWFM first. Just another example of their incompetence. #WFMidiotsatwork
All I know is that now we have a production sheet that we have to complete before we leave. BUT before we leave the tl or astl has to go over it with us first . You get walked through the area that you did, they give you verbal comments, then they write those comments on the production sheet. Finally, they make you sign that production sheet. The fact the store is open for business and have customers going through your merchandise is not figured into the equation.
Is there a legal component here? I mean, seriously, who can force me what to write and how to write
Personally, I wouldn't want anyone from leadership knowing how to contact me on social media
They dont want the wfm at the front of the hashtag cuz its too close to our wfm wall street ticker....wouldnt want unnessary bad press to come up from google searches!!!! Lol...corporate manuevers...
Sign an agreement, that's f'n wacko! Hasn't reached FL YET. #wfmteammember
