Charge those unwilling to get vaccinated an additional $500 per month for their medical insurance plus all cost associated with weekly testing. Then you will see who is really committed to being unvaccinated.

All these tough keyboard warriors are going to get vaccinated when their jobs are at stake just like every other employe base out there. Can't wait to sit in a conference room without you breathing our air.

To the poster below. You have a point… it does take a special kind of fool to be so arrogant in their ignorance. Even more so, when the fool is describing themselves. (98.5% survival rate, Natural immunity is best, and people have the option to get the vaccine if they wish.

The reasons these people are posting to support their anti-vaccination stances are laughable and show almost zero real knowledge of how this virus works, infects and mutates. It takes a special kind of fool to be so arrogant in their own ignorance.

To this person. Try reading as well as learning to spell: Except the viruss spreads equally between unvaccinated and vaccinated to the comment below. So congrats on being a dumarse"

WRONG

The virus CANNOT mutate in those that are vaccinated and those that are unvaccinated are the direct cause of the diseases continuing evolvement. The unvaccinated are an absolute risk continuing to drive this pandemic.

Talk to a TX based employment lawyer before you think that APA will be in court fighting termination lawsuits. Ask the people from W&T about how swiftly the terminations take place after the company imposed vaccine mandate isn't followed!

The more the virus spreads, the more it seems to mutate. It spreads primarily between the unvaccinated. We could reach a point where the vaccine is no longer effective against the variants. That puts us all at risk.

Thankfully Biden is mandating the Trump vaccine! He’s so smart and awesome, the most popular president in American history. Everyone needs to stop thinking for themselves and just do what they are told.

We are never going to see an end to these outbreaks and group quarantines unless the majority of employees get vaccinated. We don't have required temperature checks, no mask requirements, and around half of employees are still unvaccinated - don't believe that 80% BS... The unvaccinated are also usually unmasked and they are spreading this virus like wildfire. We have tried encouraging and relying on self assessments. It's obvious these coddling methods DON'T WORK. Maybe having some actual REQUIREMENTS will, and those who refuse can leave if they feel that strongly against getting a free vaccine that will keep them out of intensive care or possibly dying.

Being vaccinated does not mean 100% immunity or protection from the virus, and I know of several people (not in the company) who have been vaccinated and who have also, post vaccination, tested positive for the virus.

Breakthrough infections are a real thing and they are largely being caused and perpetrated by the unvaccinated.

Quite simply, the unvaccinated are the ones who are causing the pandemic to go on and on, the unvaccinated are the ones who are causing the economy to be in the mess that it is, and the unvaccinated are the ones who are causing everyone and everything to be brought down to their lowest common denominator.

Their collective cognitive dissonance and personal hangups and misguided notions of freedom are serious threats to the safety and security of everyone, and are causing tragic consequences for many. That they seemingly revel in their stupidity and selfishness is astounding, especially as so many of them and their ilk continue to die. Their idiocy may very well ki-l us all.

You make vaccines mandatory and you'll lose control of the company because there will be no one left after the mass resignation. The thought of forcing someone to inject something in their body that they don't want is absolutely insane to me. The other vaccines you speak of were given to you as a child. I hardly doubt your parents asked your permission. I'm 100% completely opposed to this and would support anyone who resigned should this be implemented.

And yes, I'm vaccinated.

You are incorrect…. The vaccinated are not at risk, that’s why they aren’t in hospitals. True, they might get sick but not to the point of death or requiring hospitalization except in very few cases. This is the rhetoric that causes people to not get vaccinated… why get vaccinated with something that was developed in less than a year if I am just at risk as everybody else. If you want people to accept that the vaccine is safe and effective and want to convince them to take it, then you have to incentivize the fact that it is safe and they are protected from dying and not go back to draconian measures like making them mask just like everybody else, what’s the point in getting vaccinated if it changes nothing for me or anyone.

wow, its funny we complain about how we are handling the pandemic when it is clear half the posters on this thread do not really understand or perhaps scarier yet, believe the science behind that yes we are all at risk as long as this many people continue to remain unvaccinated and refuse to mask, not just at the office.

So I agree that the needle hurts less than the plastic tube but again, what does it matter or how does it affect you? The tube isn’t going down your throat and you aren’t the one that is potentially going to die. Just to be clear myself and my spouse are fully vaccinated but if people around us aren’t I’m not bothered by it nor do I demand them to do it.

I’m not that poster but I’m not scared. I just genuinely believe getting the vaccine is our responsibility, just like obeying the rules of the road or taking care of our family members. It is an act of collective public good and by refusing the vaccine you’re essentially saying “I don’t really care about others.” Why not swallow your pride and try to improve this whole place a little?

That needle will hurt a lot less than that plastic tube they’ll shove down your throat, trust me.

@1wdo+1cKOzRWc… if you are vaccinated why do you care if others are not? Not trying start anything but I seriously want to know your train of thoughts on this. You are protected and so if you are exposed you have no need to worry so why try to force people to do what you want because you are still scared?

and for the person who believes we should remain as we are. Sure no masks, rising cases, sick employees. Great plan. I am guessing you are either non vaccinated and/or abusing your work from home status.

We need the vaccine mandate. Many of us who are vaccinated and in the office are tired of those who are not vaccinated and not taking any precautions constantly putting us at risk. Enough. Y'all are vaccinated for Polio, measles mumps and have to get vaccinated to go to travel overseas to many countries. Those refusing to get vaccinated need to just get over themselves. This has nothing to do with choice or freedoms. It is a public health issue. End of story.

The amount of people who have lost their lives due to this virus is significant. Obviously people lose their lives for all sorts of reasons but this one is a new one piled on top of all the others we typically deal with in a given year. It's an unnecessary additional loss of life that has affected hundreds of thousands of families here in the states and millions worldwide. Why on Earth would getting a vaccine that might mitigate this widespread human suffering be an issue for people? I'm genuinely curious.

As much as the media would have us believe, it isn't political. It really isn't. It's a shot that does a pretty good job at preventing you from getting COVID and does a remarkable job at preventing you from getting hospitalized from it. Just like the shot we have for measles, and mumps, and pertussis, and TB. In this scenario, people choosing to cling to their freedoms vs. potentially helping a lot of people they haven't met is pure selfishness.

I would assume they might not do anything in the short term as I’m sure there are already lawsuits being put together by Texas, Florida, and other states to challenge this. There will probably be a stay issued until it gets sorted out in the courts.

I believe APA should continue as they are now. Do not comply with the overreach from the current administration. Let the employees choose what health decisions they see fit for themselves and their families. Do not fall into the financial trap of paying for weekly tests. Do not fall for requiring the vaccine for employees to just end up in court for multiple termination lawsuits if they decide not to get them. (also a financial trap)

Instead hopefully APA will continue their day to day operations as they see fit and have their legal team ready for any bogus OSHA fines that might come their way. We are an American Oil & Gas Company. Act like it. If you want to get vaccinated get it. If you don’t, more power to you.
