Meanwhile, travel expenditures persist for meetings that lack clear business value or actionable outcomes, raising legitimate questions about resource prioritization. Just a bunch of people getting together to hear themselves talk....

@gy0, it's brewing. A lot of insecurity, the feeling is palpable in my department because of the coming restructuring.

@ghp said, "Is this true have layoff in March 2026 in Simens EDA ?"

What that person said is true unfortunately. Look at the email from the ceo. It's brought out clearly.

Layoffs are definitely coming to DI SW. The CEO announced it today. The explanation went on about cost reductions. Employees eligible for the volunteer separation package have been notified and they're targeting the involuntary separation around March. No statement about how many will be let go.

"Many sales people leaving Siemens EDA. Manager told me any new hires are at risk in US. Currently myself at Director role but seems business is shaky. Thoughts?"

These new hires who are at risk--are they also sales people or a wide variety of roles?

Not sure about upcoming layoffs in the EU like what the OP is claiming. For all I know it could be true. But a co-worker said that in the US, Siemens does layoffs in January.

Siemens Healthineers Laboratory Diagnostics ahs also been aggressively laying off people over 40 from R&D every quarter for the past two years. They want to replace these people with young engineers.

For the EDA layoffs, did they notify the affected employees by email?

Bill Heiser is weak and stupid.
TSS was a complete failure but he got promoted for su-king up to Mike.

Those 2 id--ts
Increasing Quota's without any rational.

Bill is Mike's puppet.
They are both old and need to retire

"in DISW, the AI projects are going nowhere. Lots of planning, hauled in contractors, but no solid products being created."

I can confirm this. In PIDD, they've spent months and months of planning, with many contractors brought in. Just planning and meetings, some rough designs, but nothing substantial produced.

@1w7 Two days ago Siemens announced a new partnership with CapGemini to develop AI products. Seriously, what was the point of buying Altair then? What’s the point of hiring someone from Amazon to allegedly drive AI? The leadership at this company is a total nonsense.

@1ka: And to complete the disaster, the clueless decision-makers of Siemens got caught up in the AI bubble.

The AI projects are a joke. If the goal is to streamline and make things efficient, then they should use AI to streamline management. As another poster said, so many of them are useless, just existing as layers of management.

for software side, different groups make similar ai apps like big race who will make better one. This is duplicate work and management look like they not aware. Apps not original, already available on web from other companies. why we do this? Make no sense. This will be failure.

The buzz in DISW, especially in software, is management is bad completely clueless. They want to force out the 60+ workers so they write them bad reviews even if they're good employees.this reflects the "corruption" description that other posters here have alleged.

"Management is so crooked in this company, it’s a pyramidal scheme."

It is crooked. In DISW, what needs to be eliminated is the layers of management.

in DISW, the AI projects are going nowhere. Lots of planning, hauled in contractors, but no solid products being created. The mood is these projects will probably get canceled, then leading to staff elimination.

I can confirm. Lot of layoffs in DISW and Foundational Technologies (FT) this year. All my colleagues were senior-something. Senior scientist, senior key expert, senior researcher, senior engineer… Most of them over 50 years old and with more than 15 years in the company. Some of them with 20 years of service. Fired with 10 days notice. The day it was officially announced, I’ve seen two group managers laughing in the corridor. Management is so crooked in this company, it’s a pyramidal scheme.
