The problem is that lazy professors with advanced degrees rely on companies to write their exam questions for them instead of writing their own.
One of my neighbors in the home economics class was struggling with certain dishes that were assigned for preparation especially the open category where students build their own menus. She had decided to adopt a seafood theme which she exploited all the way to the hilt. She had created a wonderful seafood medley, a native clam and deep water fish soup with lentils. Of course we all know these aren't great parings but because she was using Chegg to help finesse her final entry it all came down to a wonderful symphony of the senses especially in the stirring of the soup and the gentleness that is required for such a wonderful broth.
My guess is MH would say Chegg CEO Dan Rosensweig needs to get on the train.
@1vuf+19kEImNZ Cengage's market cap is $630 million. Less than 10% of the original price Apax paid for them in 2007. The writing's on the wall for these pathetic dinosaurs.
I find it quite funny that a company that started out as a textbook rental company is $12 billion dollars and Cengage, Pearson et al are $1 or $2 billion. And Chegg has been around for what? 10 years or so?
Look at what the geniuses who ran these companies (traditional educational publishers) could have done if they worried less about raising prices to make a worthless, short term number and really focused on what the market wanted.
Get over it. Every student cheats. Even the smart ones.
