Director laid off - what will happen to the team?

Any VPs and SVPs whose director is no longer there? What’s next?

There's another thread here about a headless team similar to this one. Search for it.

Post ID: @ipe+1qH31FdY If you're a completely different team and your functions do Not overlap, doesn't this mean you may be safe, at least in the short term ? Think of it this way, if your team was merged with a team that had overlapping or duplicative work or functions this would be cause for worry because you and others are fungible.

It clearly indicates group MDs are not clear on target operating model and head count for their groups

Next round is FEB, and then MAR. The fun part about the current round is: it's just a bunch of stop-gap/temporary nonsense to get the company through the next round of layoffs because doing it in one go would have made too much sense.

We got merged under a new director under the same MD. Already has 8 directs. Doesn't bode well for the 8 of us. We're a completely different team and functions don't really overlap but maybe they'll use it as an excuse to cull or numbers.

Your director will be in garden leave. He can help you to move to new organization

Our director is gone as if Thanos snapped his fingers, nobody knows how this follows, not even our managers.
