Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Pivot! Pivot! Constantly but never get anything done

It'd be great to complete things - from ideation to completion would be fantastic. Instead we just pivot. Change focus, regroup, refocus, Pivot! We're redirecting. Stop everything - it's been reprioritized. Blah blah blah

I'm so happy to be employed in this market, but good lord. Too many managers and egos to ever get anything done. It's maddening.

@1vpl+1ukxdTck - You want to limit yourself to that I guess that's your gig. Enjoy. Otherwise think, adapt, or wither away. Whatever gets you to sleep at night.

Having been at ford for a long time and lucky to be laid off and now working on the other side you should see the incompetent people asking us to quote stuff, it’s beyond saddening to see how slow and without clear direction of what they want, no wonder when it makes it out the door in 5 years it’s over budget and with a number of missed opportunities to be great.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the job market right now. Automotive for sure. But there are plenty of jobs out there right now. You just might have to look in some industries you don't think you fit it. There are too many managers for sure. This couldn't be any more clear.
