The senator just asked 3 very basic simple straight questions and I know something really wrong with Intel. I am not an expert :-)

It’s def fishy. Taking hard earn US tax payers money and putting in some foreign parties coffers. Shady. Probably will trigger investigation. The whole point of the chips acts is to create us based jobs. Not give money to foreign entities

The guy clearly said that the money Intel put in China was earned prior to receiving the government funding. Intel is behind in AI, and being able to tap into the start up scene in China is definitely a good move. These startups can even be potential users of Intel's foundry service.

Hawley's tactic is KGB. He used this chance to bully a private businessman, who is in no position to verify "slave labor" or any similar claims, for political gain in the eye of stupid people. It's totally despicable.

I think the guy was prob thrown under the bus a bit , because Pat and the rest of sesame st were busy preparing to get fired by the board …

But even so - a grade 7 anyone could have represented the company better there , what an embarrassment. Clear the comms team didn’t get a chance to role play this out and prep the poor guy at all. That said , he should know better.

What a clown.

Intel is not an intelligence agency. It's a private business. If the business is legal then it can do whatever they please. Hawley is a grand standing a--hole.

Savage, and really reveals Intel's lack of leadership especially morally is bankrupt
The ending starting @6:57
"Do you think it was efficient to give your CEO a 45% increase while you are cutting jobs"

Closing with this zinger:
it should not be hard to say that
•American jobs are important
•American National Security is important and
•slave labor is wrong and
• funding slave labor in China is absolutely an atrocity
