Thread regarding Publicis layoffs

Layoffs trickling in without getting reported

There are little layoffs going on but not declared officially.

There is a lot of politics in play.

Someone with 25+ years experience of dedication to the company was let go because the 2 fat ladies who want his reports influenced the bald eagle from San Francisco. By the way, this baby bald eagle is the servant of the giant bold eagle from Chicago who is equally *umb.

I see a lot of old timers leaving in bulk soon.

Don't work here unless you are desperate.

@OP something similar has started this year. Trickles of layoffs disguised as performance based firings.

Please share your 2026 numbers and predictions.

@Fiver (formerly known as @SkiMan)
I would like to disagree slightly with that observation.
On the surface it looks like misogynistic - talking about someone's physical aspects isn't fair. But he did refer to a bald eagle in that same post. He was sharing a true story and concern and couldn't name names - so he just made references that were relatable by those concerned. It's still bad but ...

Anyways, another senior person did leave very recently. The reason she gave wasn't the truth. She lost trust in her boss. Do your own math.

All of you guys in this group should be fired. You are the laughing stock of the company.
Ancient technology, bloated infrastructure and egos and complete lack of self awareness that you are about two decades behind. Leave this company and go play bingo!
Talking about chutzpah!!

Oh and making a post calling ladies fat, and trying to make up this weird conspiracy isn’t out of line? This whole thread is out of line. Your values do not seem to line up!

@1vhtt+1ps2ecnf they are nice on the surface.

They are trying to go up the corporate ladder as fast as they can. Due to the obsolete tech stack of their group, their only opportunity is going to be within that group.
No modern group within the company or outside will have any use for them. So they are trying to get rid of as many seniors as possible. Some are leaving voluntarily as you might know.

As a somewhat recent hire (~5 years) who knows everyone you're referring to by ladies, JR, etc, this was a surprise to read. I haven't had much interaction with the ladies but they always seemed nice. Not sure why'd they would move towards pushing out JR or the other guy.

@fdgw+1ps2ecnf "everyone we fired was objectives or were going to be put on objectives"

You made me laugh.
Most old timers disagree with you. You are obviously a manager's pet.
A lot of the new comers are also rattled.
Coming Spring there will be a mass exodus.

Btw, no one trusts the two fat ladies at the Westminster office.
They think they are impressing everyone with their loud bossiness ? No one is that stupid. They are the two with the least tech experience - it's very clear. They are playing politics to go up the ladder.
Soon they will have no one to rule.

You mentioned: "everyone we fired was objectives or were going to be put on objectives"

Why not declare a layoff instead of doing it under the covers??

Are you sure there wasn't any politics in play? The inside chatter is different.

It's all hush hush.
Small numbers are being let go - mostly folks who someone wanted to get rid of anyways.

I didn't get the axe yet, but the rumor is we'll see bigger layoffs next year before they give out bonuses.

Leave as soon as you can.

Got laid off in Nov after working there for 20+ years. There are no WARN notices for NY, California, Chicago, IL, or Washington. Not sure how they are getting away with it. Maybe with the severance package?

I don't see any WARN notices in Colorado or Texas. They are going under the radar.

Sneaky company!

You guys are talking about Epsilon, just to clarify?

It's not just in Colorado.

They laid off some folks in Irving, Texas too - again, under the radar.

It's standard procedure to encourage attrition through fear.

Bigger layoffs will come right after New Year's. They don't want to lose people during their busiest season.

Be very afraid of the two fat Ladies.
They will manipulate management to get rid of you.
Next on their target is J.R., after that the new Indian dude.

Baby bald eagle will listen to whatever they say
