@4vjo+1fyr2HwR Thank you! That's what I was getting at! This story has fk-all to do with the actual operating stores. That's the point I was trying to make. Seritage is a minor subsidy having to do with a limited number of rea estate properties. Has nothing to do with the remaining operating Sears or Kmarts.
@2anu+1fyr2HwR: right! This article really has much to do about nothing unless you’re a Seritage Growth Properties follower. People who aren’t fully plugged into the Sears saga automatically conclude this somehow affects TransformCo and the surviving stores.
OK, and? He still owns Transformco which means he is still operating the remaining full-line stores. Nothing about this changes that.
ESL is doing alright for himself no doubt. He has more investments than Seritage and Sears. Ones that are obvious and the family is doing great.
@1vdo. I'm sure he is still a billionaire. He has numerous financial interests all over the world.
Now Eddie has freed up some time, he can find other companies to F up
I do not think his a billionaire at this time. Automation. saved him however.
- It's the end of an era. An era of failure.
- Also, was "hedge fund "millionaire" a typo? Or is Mr. Lampert no longer in the 1% of the 1%?
