I'd question why we should keep every band 4 employee, and ask for a 30% cut in band 4s immediately.

our foot print is pretty global and the majority of our employee base is in manufacturing. I'd make a deal with a hardware manufacturing group, and guarantee buying from them for a few years but get the head count off our books.

i'd file for brankruptcy, change name and restructure debt and HOW liability

I'd make an acquisition in either comfort or security of one of the up and coming companies and put their management in charge of our comfort and security business.

Thankfully Im not CEO. Unfortunately, we dont have one

The VPGMs are also incompetent and don’t have enough experience. Terrible at managing and making tough decisions (esp one in Melville)

So we have Directors, architects and development doing all kind of work that wasn’t truly necessary for Resideo so people got get in another gravy train in the next business outside the company... nothing changes and nothing will. Resideo is just not competent in technology as we just have employees messing with the GMs to the point we buy companies like buoy... that’s a big red flag.... so big it can cover our Austin HQ
Als long as those bozos are still in the company.. we’ll continue having layoffs for sure. Agree with sending away the fellows from GV and Melville ... worthless people that don’t listen to anyone, while riding the gravy train

I still believe (me and my crew) that all band 4 should be thrown out (especially the “fellow” c-ap) but none of my directors (even though band 4 be included due to their capabilities in software and hardware )
As for outsourcing to another company everyone agrees so let’s get them out ASAP. The lyric camera was touted as a success by its design in azure (I got some $ for myself if we go to amazon so that’s better) and we never had issues there where we totally gave up everything and just paid a 3rd party who then proceeded to do an even better product for themselves having learned from us.
We are currently working to create a gaming mobile app with back end in AWS and what we have done in Resideo is going to be very helpful for our ventures.

Further driving out what little talent and dedicated people you have and further making it impossible to attract outside talent.. We already cant attract any talent and haven been able to for years....this would make that even worse. other than that....good idea. We need to get rid of the useless, inexperienced and incompetent band 4's...theres a difference.

One of the ideas the company is working on is selling all manufacturing to a company that outsources its manufacturing to other company (like what was done with Lyric camera but without 1d1ots running the project) and buying hardware and they do our manufacturing. We forgot long ago how to manufacture...we should stop acting like we can. I agree.

Nah, WAY past that. We are too far behind competition and getting further every day as our drop in sales and lack of technology road map will prove. I would say sell what you can but I seriously don't believe any of our competitors would want anything we have (including IP). sadly, we had the chance to restructure and fix a lot of bad things when we spun ...why would we do better now? I think this company will unfortunately just die a slow death and eventually shutter. What we should do is find a s—er small company with lots of cash and scam them into purchasing us....just like Buoy did to us.

Ever hear of Buoy or the water Punt? That was going to be one of our key leaders.... Whisker labs? we cant even do this right. Plus we are hemorrhaging money and we are less and less able to afford buying any meaningful company every day.
