Whats next - Buy out OR Chapter 11?

While its evident from the All-Hands yesterday that layoffs will be recurring norm in the next few months, will there be a buy out or will they file bankruptcy? How soon?

They don't even know how many solutions they own, nor what they are making from them, nor what they are covering.

PB and RP have completely destroyed this company – lots of great people but leadership is so incompetent as to be criminal.

The sad part is that once the consultants are done figuring out what Allscripts has the Board, none of which are medically qualified, will sell the company out to one of their PE funds to be parted out and broken up. The patients, the clinicians, the hospitals, and the workers will be the ones to suffer. PBs 7mill, JHs 1.7 Mill as a joke of a CTO, JFs leading the debacle that is Avenel – wonder if the shareholders realize how incompetent the board and leadership is?

@1uxd+14VlnQyK: What percentage of those VP positions were given to women? She's been involved in groups promoting women in business. This is her way of being a corporate activist and "giving back". It certainly doesn't hurt to surround yourself with minions who will watch your back and cya. Even when they're totally unqualified. (Which explains a lot if you look around)

I totally get the PB train as he is incredibly arrogant and flip. But the common denominator in our slide into chapter 11 is RP. He has zero vision and cannot make the decisions required to be in the positions he has held. He is useless! We stood a better chance under DO! And LK has created more VP positions in her tenure than I have ever seen done in a business climate such as ours! Does this help her resume to have so many reporting to her???

We have a lot of dedicated customers out there. We need to do what is best for them and for the employees that bust their A@# every day trying to deliver what those customers need. Bankruptcy would not serve the customers or the employees well. The Board needs to pull up their "big boy pants" now and do what is right. Dismiss PB and RP for cause and bring in someone that knows what the "H" they are doing.

If the Board does not take action, it is more than a sure sign that they are just part of the "good ole boy club" headed by PB and RP. Let's hope the Board can do better than that!

Don't hold your breath waiting for either. They'll limp along for a couple more years at least, trying to get more and more work from people still employed. And afraid of being canned. They'll keep building those offshore teams to eventually take over what's left and LK will be able to go on vacation to Pune and Tel Aviv more often.

After PB fire sell all the parts he can and pocket the big checks, the company will go under. Whoever stays will be throw under the bus.
