and then every TTS VP that can't show BC how exactly (not just that they changed everyone's job title) how each person is engaged in agile process....fire them too. This is classic Target....see if you can outlast current fad long enough to keep team and process intact.

LMAO. TTS leadership is just as shitty as it ever was. A bunch of clowns in decision making roles that are clearly in way over their head. And to 157466- waterfall was a pain in the ass. Know why? TTS could never bother themselves to understand the business or any of the nuance involved. Then blame the business for poor requirements, when in reality it was a lack of understanding of what was required on the technology side. TTS seems to think the world revolves around them. WRONG. FIX POS AND GET LOGISTICS SOFTWARE THAT ACTUALLY KEEPS US IN STOCK.
Management by magazine article. Hopefully they are reading the ones about Agile and technical debt too.
Agile is not be a fad, agreed. But TTS leadership hopes it will fade at Target, cause they are just making SH!T up right now to appease MM. I have no idea how my job is Agile, but they gave me a title along with peers.
Live the #DevOoops. #BuildItAgile. #BrokenAppsQuicker.
Agile is a fad! Waterfall! Waterfall! Waterfall!! Everyone knows we should have 3 months of blue sky requirements gathering followed by some tollgates and requirements sign off. Then we hand to Accenture/Infosys/wipro/sapient/Tata for the 9 month development phase. Then a week of UAT and the customers are always happy with what is delivered. If they aren't happy they should have given better requirements. I see no reason to look at top technology companies for new ideas on software development methodologies or principles.
If it is just VPs that told MM they were now agile, even though we know we are not, they should be fired . Mike should meet with each team with every member in attendance (down to lowest level) and ensure his vision is in place....else he is screwed by his leadership team.
