Have you been rejected for promotion over someone with much less experience and education and that person turned out to be a "DEI" candidate? GM managers are certainly bold and shameless about this.
It's frustrating isn't it? It's actually demoralizing. I mean, why strive? Why care? There's no point! The perks you would normally earn by putting in the extra skill, time and effort are always outside of your grasp. Once you give up, your manager can simply point at your lack of engagement and say that THIS is the reason you are ineligible. Infuriating and it will only bring GM quality and sales down.
It's time we go public and out GM. Start gathering up all of your DEI/ESG emails and other materials, save them and send them to the press. It's time for a public boycott, Bud Light style.
Do you think this isn't really a soft spot for corporations?
Ford just announced that they are, "stepping back from DEI policies."
They are joining Lowe's, John Deere, Tractor Supply Co., and Harley-Davidson.
Let's put the heat on this corruption! I believe putting incompetent people in charge is one of the main reasons GM experiences quality issues like the recent transmission issue. We will see more of it and we all know why.
One more thing: I suspect GM will also make an announcement publicly similar to Ford about moving away from DEI but quietly continue to elevate incompetent people based on their race and gender. If they do, continue to gather information. Some of us might want to contact an employment attorney.
